Shopping at Weingraf: Germany-only delivery, payment and withdrawal
Weingraf is a wine merchant from Nackenheim in the Rheinhessen region of Germany. Its online shop sells wine to customers over 18 and, according to its shipping terms, delivers only within Germany at the moment. If you live elsewhere, this guide helps you decide whether the shop works for you, for example as a gift sent to a German address. The terms below come from the shop's shipping page, its withdrawal policy and its general terms.
Where Weingraf delivers
The shipping page puts it plainly: deliveries are currently possible only inside Germany. The parcel goes with DHL. Delivery to a parcel locker (Packstation) is allowed, but only if you pay by PayPal, credit card or prepayment. For a bottle meant for someone abroad there is no international option, so the practical route is a German delivery address that you or the recipient can use.
Shipping cost and delivery time
Shipping costs €10.90 per order, and the shop names no free-shipping threshold. The delivery time is 3 to 5 days, and if the shop cannot keep that window it says it will inform you immediately. Prices on the site are final prices in euros and already include VAT. Wines are packed according to the quantity delivered, and unless stated otherwise every bottle holds 0.75 l. Promotional items can sell out faster than planned, which is why the shop gives no delivery guarantee for them and sells while stocks last.
Payment
The shop lists PayPal, credit card, prepayment and direct debit. With PayPal you are redirected to PayPal during the order, and the shop accepts your offer when it asks PayPal to start the transaction. For direct debit the payment is triggered seven days after the goods leave the warehouse, and bank fees from a rejected debit that is not the shop's fault can be passed on to you. The goods remain the property of Weingraf GmbH until paid in full.
Withdrawal and returns
As a consumer you can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason, counted from the day you or a person you name receives the goods. Tell Weingraf GmbH clearly, by letter or email to [email protected], and a model withdrawal form is part of the policy. You can also simply return the goods. Weingraf pays the direct costs of sending the goods back. You are only liable for loss of value if you handled the goods more than needed to check their condition and function.
The shop refunds all payments received, including the standard delivery costs, within 14 days of getting your withdrawal. It uses the same payment method as for the original order and may hold the refund back until the goods are back or you prove you sent them. Send the goods back without delay, and at the latest within 14 days of your notice.
