Shopping at Kleinmetall: parcel and freight shipping, returns, cashback
Kleinmetall, based in Erlensee in Hesse, makes accessories for the car and for the dog in the car: made-to-measure boot liners, dog crates, rear grilles and dividers. Anyone ordering these wants to know how bulky parts arrive and what happens with a return. We read the delivery, withdrawal and payment pages in October 2026. Where Kleinmetall delivers
According to its delivery terms, the items in the shop are intended for delivery within Germany only. The shop names no shipping to Austria, Switzerland or the UK. There is one exception among the freight items: for Alustar and rear seat dog crates there is a rate to selected EU countries, with details on the product page. For cross-border delivery, taxes and customs duties may apply, and you bear them.
Shipping cost and delivery method
Depending on size, an item goes out as a parcel or by freight. The product page says which applies.

Islands are excluded from the freight prices. Trade customers pay different rates. The number of parcels depends on the items you order, and each parcel is charged separately. Parcels and freight arrive Monday to Friday, DPD between 8 am and 6 pm. At the latest one day after dispatch you get a tracking link. The delivery page gives no fixed delivery time, because it is shown per item on the product page. For items from the Exclusiv range, made to order, you first receive an offer with the current delivery time.
For freight deliveries you must give a mobile number. You book the time window by text message, otherwise the date is agreed by phone. The goods are handed over in person and not left outside. If delivery fails, the shop charges the second attempt at the same amount as the first. Changes of date must be made by 3 pm the day before.
Withdrawal and returns
You can withdraw within 14 days of receiving the goods, by letter, fax, email or online through the function on the shop page. You pay the return costs. For goods that cannot be returned by normal post, the shop estimates them at no more than about €120 within Germany and about €200 within the EU abroad. For a dog crate it is therefore worth checking beforehand that it really fits. The money comes back at the latest within 14 days of your withdrawal reaching the shop, and the shop may hold it until the goods arrive or you prove dispatch. Custom-made items are excluded from withdrawal.
Payment
The shop takes prepayment, PayPal, credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron), Klarna Sofort and Amazon Pay. Invoice is only for registered trade customers. Your credit card is charged when you complete the order.
Using cashback
Open the Kleinmetall page at daily cashback, where you find the current rate (3.5%) and the offers we have checked, with the date. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as pending and becomes confirmed once Kleinmetall has reported the order. Returns are deducted again.
Practical tips
- Measure the boot and check the car model on the product page before you order.
- Give a mobile number you can be reached on for freight items.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker, as either can break the click.
- Keep other cashback and voucher sites closed while you shop, because a later click can replace the first one.
