Shopping at Doctor Blooms: delivery, returns and cashback
Doctor Blooms is a hydroponics specialist from Bishop's Stortford in Hertfordshire, selling grow lights, tents, nutrients and pumps. The shop is built for customers in the UK, and its delivery rules differ a little depending on where in the UK you live. Here is what the delivery and returns pages say, including what to do if you live outside Britain.
Where Doctor Blooms delivers
The delivery page is written for Mainland England and Wales, and for the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland. Orders from other countries are possible but not automatic: the returns page asks you to get in touch before ordering if extra postage may apply, especially for mainland Europe, Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and the UK islands. Parcels sent abroad are subject to customs and tax in the destination country. If you refuse to pay the VAT or tax, the order is sent back and a return fee is charged to you.
Delivery costs and speed
For Mainland England and Wales the standard delivery is free on orders over £60. Extra large or very heavy items are excluded from free delivery. Below £60 standard delivery costs £4.50, and next day delivery is £6.99. Parcels travel with DHL on a tracked service, and small items go by Royal Mail tracked. DHL sends tracking details by email or text.
Orders placed before 3pm on a weekday can leave the warehouse the same day. In stock items take 1 to 2 working days, items shown as out of stock 2 to 4 working days. The shop only takes payment when your order is dispatched, so you can still cancel before then. For the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland, delivery of in stock items is £13.99 and takes 1 to 2 working days. You can also collect your order free of charge if you arrange a time with the team.

Returns, exchanges and cancelling
Doctor Blooms accepts defective products back within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, although some postage charges may apply. Please return items preferably unopened and in the original packaging to the shop address in Bishop's Stortford, after requesting an RMA number with the form on the returns page. The shop also allows a free exchange within 30 days: once the original unused items arrive, the replacement is sent back carriage free. The returns page adds that you may cancel an order within seven days of placing it and get your payment back in full.
One point to note before you order glass items such as grow lights: the shop says it cannot accept losses for damage or breakages in transit, so look at the parcel when it arrives.
Cashback at Doctor Blooms
Open the Doctor Blooms page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 2.5%) is shown together with the offers we check every day. Press the shop button there, then shop and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. If you return something, the cashback for that item is deducted.
Practical tips
- Check the basket total against the £60 free shipping line. Two or three small items can bring free delivery.
- Heavy items such as tents or large lighting kits may not count for free delivery, so read the product page.
- Live outside Britain? Email or phone the shop with your address before you order.
- Use the shop's own codes only if they are shown on the daily cashback page, because a code from another site can cancel the cashback.
