EMP France: flat shipping, Colissimo delivery and free returns

EMP sells band merchandise, gaming and film and series items and alternative clothing. The French store at emp-online.fr is one of several country shops, and each has its own help pages. This guide follows the French pages: shipping, returns and payment, as they are written for customers in France.

Which shop to use

EMP runs separate shops by country. Its menu links, among others, EMP Deutschland, EMP Österreich, EMP Italia, EMP Schweiz and EMP United Kingdom. The French help pages do not list delivery countries, so if you live elsewhere, order in the shop of your own country. The UK shop has its own page at daily cashback: EMP United Kingdom.

Shipping cost and delivery time

  • Shipping costs 5.99 EUR, whatever the size or weight of the parcel.
  • If every item in your confirmation is in stock and you paid by PayPal or card, you see a delivery date within 3 to 5 working days.
  • The carrier is Colissimo. When the parcel is handed over you get an email with a tracking link.
  • You can enter another delivery address or a local pickup point at checkout.

Orders go to the warehouse immediately after checkout, so changing the address, the payment method or cancelling is no longer possible afterwards. Your options if you no longer want the parcel: refuse the delivery, or take the unopened parcel back to a post office within 24 hours of receipt, or use the free return after it arrives.

Returns

You have 30 days from the delivery date. Members of the Backstage Club get 100 days. Items must come back as received, in the original packaging and with the labels still attached.

Some items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons: masks, some selected jewellery and underwear. Swimwear can only be returned if the hygiene strip is still in place.

How it works:

  • Open the online returns portal and enter your order number (it starts with 010 or 1014) and the postal code of your delivery address.
  • Select the item and the reason, then confirm the selection.
  • Print and put in the return form, stick on the prepaid label and drop the parcel at a post office.
  • Keep the proof of postage and the tracking number until the warehouse has processed the return.

There is no direct exchange. Every returned item is refunded, and if you want a different size you place a new order. If you ordered as a guest, log out of your EMP account completely before you open the portal, otherwise the return cannot be registered.

Refund

The refund goes to the original payment method. The warehouse needs up to 7 working days to process a return, and after that it can take up to 10 working days for the money to arrive. For a bank transfer the shop needs your bank details. With Klarna, EMP updates Klarna after processing, and a used voucher is credited back.

Payment

Accepted are PayPal, Visa and Mastercard, bank transfer, Klarna (pay at once, in 3 payments without fees or within 30 days), Apple Pay and Google Pay. A bank transfer takes 3 to 5 working days to arrive before the order is processed.

Using cashback

Open the EMP France page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 3.5%) and the offers we check every day are shown. Press the shop button, then order as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once EMP has reported the order, normally after the return window. A returned item reduces the cashback for it.

Keep your order in one visit, and keep other cashback or voucher tabs closed while you shop, because a later click can replace the first one.
