Shopping at EMP: country shops, delivery costs, returns and cashback

· 2026-10-15

EMP sells band merchandise, rock and metal clothing and licensed fan articles. Instead of one shop for everyone, it runs a separate online shop per country, and the shipping fee, carrier and details differ between them. We read the FAQ pages of the German, Austrian, Swiss, UK and Irish EMP shops in October 2026. This guide is written for readers in the UK and elsewhere outside Germany, so it starts with the shop that matches your country.

One shop per country

The country selector at the bottom of every EMP page lists these shops: EMP International, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Norway, Switzerland, Finland, Ireland, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria, Slovakia, Belgium and Spain. You order from the shop of the country you live in, and the prices, the currency and the delivery terms are those of that shop. The German shop at emp.de is the one whose terms we looked at most closely, because it is where the shop is based.

Delivery costs and times

In the UK shop the delivery charge is 5.49 pounds. The shop also sells a BackStage Club membership for 9.95 pounds a year, which it says gives free delivery on all orders for one year. Orders in the UK and Irish shops are shipped within three working days, and delivery normally takes 5 to 10 working days. An estimated delivery period is shown before you place the order, and you receive an email with a tracking link when the parcel is handed to the carrier.

The other shops state their own flat fees. The German and Austrian shops charge 5.99 euros per order, whatever the size or weight of the parcel. The Swiss shop charges 9.99 Swiss francs. Cash on delivery adds a fee in these shops: 8.40 euros in Germany and Austria and 12.95 Swiss francs in Switzerland. In Germany the shop also names an express surcharge of 11 euros. German parcels go with DHL or Deutsche Post, Austrian ones with Österreichische Post and Swiss ones with Swiss Post.

Returns

You have 30 days to return items, counted from the day the parcel is delivered. BackStage Club members get 100 days. You register the return in the returns portal with your order number and the postcode of the delivery address, and the return is free. In the UK you can create the free label on the Royal Mail site if you have no printer. Items must come back in the condition in which they arrived, with the same packaging and labels. In the UK shop masks, selected jewellery and underwear cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, and swimwear only if the hygiene strip is still on. Worn or damaged items can be rejected and sent back to you.

The money returns by the original payment method. Where you paid in advance or by cash on delivery, EMP needs your bank details. The shop does not exchange items; you return the old one and order a new one. The German FAQ mentions a refund within 3 to 5 working days after you receive the confirmation of receipt, while the Irish shop says returns can take up to 7 working days to be processed at the warehouse and up to 10 further days to reach your bank.

Using cashback

Open the EMP page at daily cashback. It shows the current rate (up to 3.5%) and the offers we found, each with the date of the last check. Press the shop button and order in the UK shop as you normally would. The cashback is listed as open in your free account and turns confirmed after EMP has reported the order. Returned items reduce the amount for that item.

Tips

  • Order from the shop of your own country, because delivery terms and prices are set per country shop.
  • If you plan to order several times a year in the UK, compare the 9.95 pound membership with 5.49 pounds per order.
  • Check the delivery address before you submit. The German FAQ says the order is locked for changes once the confirmation email has been sent.
  • Keep other voucher sites closed while you shop, since a later click can replace the first one.
