YourParkingSpace: how booking, cancellation and notice periods work
YourParkingSpace is a marketplace where drivers book parking spaces that belong to private owners or commercial car parks. There is no delivery here, so the points that count are what you can book, how cancellation and notice periods work and where the service runs. This guide sums up what the platform says on its website.
What you can book
The platform connects drivers with more than 350,000 privately owned and commercially operated spaces in the UK and Ireland. You book by the hour, by the day or by the month, through the website or the mobile apps. A single booking can start from half an hour. You can pre-book a space or book it when you arrive, and you manage the parking session from the app or your account.
After you book
When a booking is made, both you and the space provider get a confirmation email. Yours contains the full address of the parking location and any extra access information. The provider manages an availability calendar, and for commercial locations the platform uses occupancy data, so search results only show spaces that are free for the dates and times you entered.
Booking in three steps
The platform describes the process in three steps. First you search for a space by app or web. Then you book in advance or on demand. Finally you manage the parking session from wherever you are. Apps exist for the App Store and Google Play, and the site calls itself the number one parking app for the UK and Ireland. If you search near your destination, the results only list spaces that are free for the time window you enter, so there is no need to compare calendars yourself.
If you want to rent out a space
The same platform lets owners list an empty space. Earnings are processed automatically on the third business day of each month, and you tell the platform your payment preference in your account. Space owners also decide their own availability.
Cancelling and ending a booking
The rules differ by booking type:
- Short-term bookings (hourly or daily): cancel in your account within the cancellation period shown for the booking.
- Monthly bookings: send a 7-day notice to customer support in writing. The final 7 days start when the notice arrives.
- Season tickets: send a 30-day notice to customer support. The final 30 days start when the notice arrives.
- Monthly subscriptions: cancel by contacting customer support.
The help centre has a separate answer on how to stop the automatic renewal of a season ticket.

Travelling from abroad
If you drive to the UK or Ireland from another country, you can book a space before you leave and keep the confirmation email with the access information. Check the cancellation period of the exact space before you pay, because it is shown with the booking.
Cashback
Open the YourParkingSpace page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 2.5%) and the offers we check every day are listed. Press the shop button there, then book and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once YourParkingSpace has reported the booking. A cancelled booking is deducted from the amount. Take only the offers shown on that page, because a code from another site can cost you the cashback.
