Xiaomi vs OnePlus: Which Phone Is the Better Choice? Two models can only be compared on a spec sheet, but the terms around them are open. We recommend Xiaomi if you order through its shop and want cashback: returns are clearly set out, defects get 30 days for a refund or replacement, and orders above 59 pounds ship free. OnePlus also names two years of warranty on phones but is not in our programme. Prices change, status October 2026.
Which shop pays cashback
Xiaomi has its own page with us: Xiaomi at daily cashback. It belongs to the UK shop, and according to Xiaomi delivery is within the United Kingdom, excluding the Isle of Man. If you live there, the route fits. The current rate is on the shop page, not in this text. We do not list OnePlus, so an order there earns no cashback through us.

Order, confirm, pay out
Go into the shop from the Xiaomi page and put the phone in your basket in that same window. A click through a price search or an outside voucher site in between can replace our tracking. In your account the purchase first shows as open. The shop checks it, and only after confirmation does the cashback become payable.
Returns: the key difference
For goods in proper condition Xiaomi names 14 calendar days from invoice or delivery, whichever is later. For manufacturing faults it allows 30 calendar days for a refund or replacement. You must request a service number for any return, via your account or via support. The device must come back with packaging, accessories and serial number, and you have to log out of your Xiaomi account on the phone first. Xiaomi bears the return shipping for warranty cases and within the first 14 days after purchase. Items bought in a bundle go back only together.
OnePlus points in its terms of sale to the statutory right to cancel within 14 days. You declare it by email or letter to the address given there, and the refund follows no later than 14 days after the goods are back. The terms note that prices are quoted without shipping charges.
Discounts and trade-in
Xiaomi lists student discounts, vouchers for new customers and a trade-in scheme in its support area. OnePlus names discounts for education and key workers as well as a trade-in programme. Which of them are running right now, and whether they combine with cashback, is stated on the vendors' pages and on our shop page. An extra voucher code from an outside site can disturb the tracking.
Warranty
Xiaomi gives 2 years on the hardware of its smartphones, unless the law requires more. OnePlus names 24 months for phones, TVs and headphones, from delivery and only for devices from its own shop. Cases and screen protectors get 30 days. OnePlus warranty can be redeemed only in the country of purchase, so order where you will use the device.
Delivery and contact
Xiaomi ships with DPD, DHL or Royal Mail, usually in 2 to 3 working days. Shipping is free from 59 pounds of order value, below that you pay it yourself. Phone and chat are staffed Monday to Friday. OnePlus runs a chat from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm CET, and the shop shows delivery costs at checkout.

Anyone buying in the UK who wants cashback: Xiaomi through the shop page, with clear deadlines and free return shipping in the first days.
Anyone who tries a lot: Remember that each return costs you the cashback. Settle on a model before you buy and look at size and storage calmly.
Anyone who is set on a OnePlus: Buy it under the OnePlus terms of sale. No cashback arises here.
