Tiqets vs Viator: if you want cashback on tickets and tours, choose Tiqets, the only one of the two we list. Viator is a large marketplace too, but a booking there pays nothing through us. Prices of tickets depend on day and slot, so the sensible way is to price the same attraction in both and then book through the shop page of the cheaper or more flexible one. Status October 2026.

Booking tickets with cashback, step by step

1. Find the attraction and note date and time slot. Check Viator for the same day if you like.
2. Open the Tiqets shop page. Turn the ad blocker off and shut other comparison or voucher tabs.
3. Click the booking button and look up the attraction on Tiqets once more.
4. Choose the ticket and decide about the free cancellation option, offered per ticket.
5. Pay in one session. Your free account lists the order as pending.
6. After your visit the order is confirmed and the cashback becomes payable.

What costs you the Tiqets cashback

• You cancel the order. Tiqets says the free cancellation option runs to 23:59 the evening before the visit and is used in the app or through the manage booking button of the mail.
• You get a refund. Refunded money earns nothing.
• You book the same attraction on Viator or any other site.
• You reach Tiqets through another page, so the booking did not start on ours.
• An ad blocker stopped the click.

The differences in short

Cancelling. Tiqets lets you add free cancellation per ticket. If you skip it, the partner behind the ticket sets the rules, and customer service names your options. On Viator the cancellation terms are shown per activity in the booking step, so read them there before paying.

Fees. Tiqets writes that some venues carry a booking fee in the order overview. It pays for payment handling, a service team that works every day of the week and supplier charges, while most venues come without one. Check the order overview before the last click on either site.

Refund timing. After Tiqets approves a refund, it passes to your bank. By iDEAL the money usually arrives after roughly two working days, by card after two to seven, and any delay once approved sits with the card issuer.

Time slots. Plenty of tickets are tied to one day and hour, so check date and slot twice on whichever site you use.

Range. Both sell entry tickets, tours and activities. Whether a specific attraction is offered by one, the other or both is quickest to see by searching its name on each.

After the booking

Tiqets keeps your tickets in its app: you enter the ticket details in the Wallet tab, and the cancel option for free-cancellation orders sits there too. The confirmation email carries the manage booking button. Save both until the visit is over. If your pending entry with us disappears or looks wrong, the order number from that email is what our team asks for.

A code from the shop page list is entered at checkout and has its own end date and conditions. Do not paste a code from a different site, since that can replace the tracking from our page. If you are unsure, book without a code and keep the cashback.

For groups it helps to book all tickets in a single order, so that date, slot and cancellation rule are the same for everyone and the confirmation covers the whole group.

Who should pick what

Museum and attraction visitors with a fixed date: Tiqets, with the free cancellation option if plans are not certain.

Spontaneous travellers: compare both for the day itself and look at the available time slots, then take the one that fits.

City pass hunters and families: price the whole group on both and compare the final amount, because a fee can change the picture.
