Surfshark vs ExpressVPN: Which VPN Is Better, Where Is Cashback Paid?
Surfshark vs ExpressVPN: Which VPN Is Better? The short answer: if you want to cover many devices, Surfshark fits, because its pricing page names an unlimited number while ExpressVPN allows 10, 12 or 14 depending on the plan. On top of that Surfshark has a shop with cashback on our site and ExpressVPN does not, which is why Surfshark leads our recommendation. ExpressVPN remains a sound choice if you want its extra services. Status October 2026, prices move.
What Surfshark means with us
The page Surfshark at daily cashback shows the current rate. Cashback sits in your account as pending first and is confirmed later; payout is by PayPal. ExpressVPN is not part of our programme, so an order there brings no credit from us.

Plans and features
Surfshark offers Starter, One and One+. The network is given as over 4500 servers in 100 countries. Features include Bypasser (split tunnelling), Dynamic MultiHop as a double VPN, an ad blocker and a cookie pop-up blocker. Alternative ID, scam protection and antivirus come on top.
ExpressVPN has Basic, Advanced and Express Pro. Basic filters ads, malicious sites and adult sites, Advanced also blocks trackers. From Advanced on, the ExpressKeys password manager, a holiday.com eSIM and a larger email relay (ExpressMailGuard) are included. The top tier contains the dedicated IP and the ExpressAI chat assistant. Servers stand in 113 countries per the pricing page.
Refunds: who gets what
Both name 30 days. At Surfshark the window runs from the first purchase, and the policy limits it to one refund per service. Surfshark does not refund purchases through some resellers, with a prepaid or gift card, nor the Alternative Number and anonymous Dedicated IP options.
ExpressVPN gives the 30 days to new subscribers and excludes renewals. When you paid in cryptocurrency, the refund comes back in the same currency.
For Surfshark cashback: if the purchase is refunded, the credit is dropped. If a code from a third-party site comes into play, the credit may be lost; you can check this on the shop page.
Privacy and audits
On its features page Surfshark speaks of an audited no-logs policy and says it does not record or store your online activity. ExpressVPN points to regular reviews by PwC, Cure53 and KPMG that relate to its no-logs pledge and the TrustedServer technology.
Both statements come from the providers themselves. They do not replace your own test. Use the 30 days and watch whether the apps run on all your devices, whether the connection stays stable and whether the countries you need are in the list.
Count your devices before you order: laptops, phones, tablets, TVs, consoles. ExpressVPN limits simultaneous connections to 10, 12 or 14 by plan, and anyone who reaches the limit has to disconnect a device. With Surfshark that counting goes away, since the pricing page names an unlimited number.
