Buying a Laybrook adjustable bed: delivery, trial period, returns and cashback

· 2026-09-18

Laybrook is a British maker of adjustable beds, based in Bicester in Oxfordshire. Beds go to your home with fitting included, so the delivery rules matter more here than at a normal web shop. This guide covers where the beds go, what the regional surcharges are, how the trial and return rules work and how to earn cashback on an order.

Where Laybrook delivers

The delivery page describes delivery and installation in the UK mainland. For an address outside the UK, ask the sales team before you order, because the shop's pages do not describe overseas delivery and the money-back guarantee is stated to apply in the UK only. Sales advisers answer on 0808 2528679.

Delivery cost and surcharges

Delivery and installation are free in the UK mainland, excluding Scotland and the Highlands. In some areas a delivery charge applies, and the shop lists it by postcode area:

  • Parts of England (postcodes CA, NE, NR, PL, SR, TR) and Wales (LL, SA): £95 shipping surcharge
  • Scottish postcode areas such as AB, EH, G and IV: £125 shipping surcharge
  • Isle of Wight (PO30 to PO41): £395 shipping surcharge

Fast delivery costs an extra £245, and next-day delivery is available from £245 for specific models and postcodes. Fast delivery may not be available in Scotland.

How long it takes

Standard delivery is generally 17 to 21 working days, with Scotland up to 21 working days. Special sizes can take a few days longer. The fast service installs the bed in roughly 6 to 10 working days, and a turning bed costs £295 for it. Your bed is set up by Laybrook's engineers, including a demonstration of how it works.

Trial, cancellation and returns

The 7-day money-back guarantee lets you use the bed for a week after delivery. If you send it back, Laybrook collects it free of charge and refunds the bed, provided it is undamaged and was not taken apart or modified by anyone else. Special orders such as a shortened or raised bed are excluded and cannot be cancelled after 48 hours.

The mattress can be exchanged for a firmer or softer one within 14 nights. Under the terms you also have 14 days to cancel after receiving the goods. Cancelling later brings a restocking fee of £195 plus a delivery fee of £225 for the shipping.

Payment and VAT

Online payment is by credit or debit card; cash and cheques are not accepted. You can reserve a bed with a refundable deposit of 20% and pay the balance on delivery, while shipping stays free outside the surcharge areas above. Prices are quoted without VAT, and buyers with a qualifying long-term condition can order VAT-free. The shop's VAT page explains who qualifies.

Cashback with daily cashback

Open the Laybrook page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to $11.26) is shown. Press the shop button and order as usual. In your free account the cashback first appears as open and turns confirmed once Laybrook has reported the order. If the order is cancelled or the bed returned, the cashback is deducted again. Current offers are listed on the shop page and we check them daily.

Practical tips

  • Enter your postcode early and ask whether a regional delivery charge applies to your area.
  • Measure before you order, since swapping to a different size later costs £225 for collection and reassembly, on top of shipping.
  • Do not use a code from another site in the same visit. A foreign code can cost you the cashback.
