Shopping at Edelstahl-Tuerklingel.de: delivery countries, shipping, returns and cashback

Edelstahl-Tuerklingel.de is the online shop of Metzler GmbH in Reutlingen, Germany. It sells stainless steel doorbells, mailboxes, intercom systems and house numbers, and it delivers to Germany and a long list of European countries. Because the parcels are mostly small, the shipping scale is simple: three price levels and a separate rate for bulky goods.

Which countries get delivery

The shop delivers inside Germany and to Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Cyprus. Switzerland and Norway are not part of that list.

Shipping costs and delivery time

Parcels go with DHL or DPD. The shipping cost depends on the destination, and the prices include German VAT.

Unless an offer says otherwise, orders to Germany arrive in 1 to 3 working days and orders abroad in 3 to 5 working days after the contract is made. With prepayment, the time starts when you send the payment. No parcels are delivered on Sundays and public holidays. If you order items with different delivery times, the shop ships them together, and the slowest item decides.

Bulky goods

Bulky items such as larger mailbox systems are sent as DPD bulky freight, and the product description marks them. The shipping charge depends on weight: up to 30 kg €29, up to 60 kg €58, up to 90 kg €87, up to 120 kg €116, up to 150 kg €145 and up to 1000 kg €174.

Payment

The shop accepts advance bank transfer, credit card, Klarna (invoice, instalments, direct debit, instant bank transfer and card), Amazon Pay, PayPal with PayPal Express, SEPA direct debit and pay later, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Invoice payment is only open to public authorities and institutions and is due within 14 days.

Withdrawal and returns

You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason, starting on the day you receive the goods. Tell the shop in a clear statement and send the goods back within 14 days. The refund, including standard delivery, follows within 14 days of the shop receiving your notice, and it uses the original payment method. The shop may wait until the goods are back or you can show you sent them.

You pay the direct cost of returning the goods, including bulky freight that cannot go by parcel. The shop estimates this return shipping at roughly €75 at the most. Loss in value is charged only if you handled the item more than needed to inspect it. On its site, the shop also advertises a 10-year Metzler warranty and refers to the statutory warranty rights.

Using cashback

Open the Edelstahl-Tuerklingel page at daily cashback, where the current rate (3.5%) and the current offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button there, then shop and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. If you return something, the share for that item is deducted.

• For Germany and Austria, a basket just under €99 may be worth topping up, since the €4.95 shipping fee falls away.
