Shopping at DefShop: shipping by country, returns and cashback
DefShop is a German online fashion store with clothing and accessories for women, men and kids, run by DefShop GmbH in Ober-Ramstadt. It ships worldwide and also runs separate country shops, which makes it one of the easier German fashion shops to order from abroad. This guide sums up the shipping rates by country, delivery times, customs, returns and payment as the shop states them.
Shipping costs by country
| Destination | Shipping |
|---|---|
| Germany | 4.99 euros shipping (1.99 euros packaging and insurance, 3 euros postage) |
| Austria | 6.40 euros shipping |
| Switzerland | 11.35 CHF shipping |
| United Kingdom | 9.99 euros shipping |
| Iceland, Ukraine | 15.46 euros shipping |
| Liechtenstein | 14.27 euros shipping |
| Turkey | 34.38 euros shipping |
| Canada, Serbia, Georgia, Armenia, Algeria | 46.99 euros shipping |
| United States | 78.49 euros shipping |
The shipping page also lists Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldova at 12.99 euros and North Macedonia at 11.99 euros shipping. The shop says it ships worldwide, and for any other country the shipping price appears in the checkout. Rates vary because they depend on the local carrier. Note that the FAQ shows slightly lower figures for Austria and Switzerland than the shipping page, so trust the amount in your basket.
Delivery time and customs
The shop quotes an average delivery time of 2 to 4 working days, with extra time around public holidays and at Black Friday. Parcels abroad reach the DHL international parcel centre within 3 to 5 working days, and from there the national carrier takes over, so European neighbours usually see 3 to 5 working days. You get a tracking code by email with the dispatch confirmation. Customers in Switzerland should know that every parcel from abroad is subject to customs duty and VAT, which the recipient pays.
Country shops
The footer links local DefShop sites for Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Slovakia, plus a .net site. Orders can also be placed through the DefShop apps for iOS and Android.
Returns
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt. Declare it by email or with the withdrawal form, or simply send the goods back within the period, and return them within 14 days of your declaration, ideally in original packaging with the tags on. A prepaid return label is available for Germany only, through the returns centre. If you return a whole order with that label, the shop charges 4.99 euros for it and later sends a voucher of the same value by email for your next order; partial returns are exempt. Items shipped by a partner must go back to that partner using the label in the parcel. The statutory warranty is two years, and for a damaged item you send a short description and two or three clear photos.
Payment
Checkout is handled with Klarna: invoice with a 14-day payment term, instalments (Germany only), instant bank transfer, Amazon Pay, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and direct debit. PayPal is offered as an alternative.
Cashback at DefShop
The DefShop page at daily cashback shows the current rate (2.5%) and the offers with the date of the last check. Press the shop button, then order as usual. In your free account the cashback is first open and becomes confirmed once DefShop has reported the order. A returned item reduces the amount for that item.
Practical tips
- Outside Germany, compare the shipping line in the basket with the table above before you pay, because rates differ by country.
- From Switzerland, add customs and VAT to the price you see in the basket.
- Finish in one visit and pause your ad blocker, so the click is not lost.
