Shopping at Apodemia: worldwide shipping, customs, exchanges and cashback
Apodemia is a Spanish jewellery brand with its own online shop at apodemia.com. Its pieces are designed and made in Spain, gold plated with recycled gold, and sold in the shop's own stores and online. If you live outside Spain, the questions that matter are what shipping costs, when it is free, who pays customs and how an exchange works. The shop's English shipping and returns page answers most of them.
Shipping costs and free shipping thresholds
Prices and shipping depend on the destination. The shop gives these amounts, with the free shipping value for each zone:

The shop adds that free shipping to the rest of the world may be affected in certain regions, so the basket is the final word. The country selector at the top of the page lists well over 200 countries and regions, with prices in euros or in the local currency where one is offered. Germany and Austria are listed in euros, Switzerland in francs and the United Kingdom in pounds.
Delivery times
Orders are prepared within 24 to 48 working hours. If you buy after 2 pm, preparation can slip to the next day. After dispatch, delivery in mainland Spain takes 24 to 72 working hours and delivery to the rest of the world 10 to 15 days. Sales, Christmas and other busy periods can stretch these times. A tracking email with the order number follows once the parcel leaves the warehouse. Engraved or embroidered pieces take 5 to 10 working days before shipping, and the engraving service costs €10.
Customs and import taxes
Apodemia states that customs duties and local taxes are always the customer's responsibility. Customs delays are not included in the estimated delivery times. If you order to Switzerland, the UK or another non-EU country, ask your local customs office what applies before you pay. An incorrect postcode or address that causes a re-delivery is also charged to you, so check the details at checkout.
Payment
You can pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or seQura, which splits the payment. Cash on delivery is not accepted. The charge is made when you confirm the order.
Exchanges, returns and warranty
There are two routes. Exchanges are accepted within 30 calendar days of delivery, provided the piece is unused and keeps its original packaging, label and security seal. The statutory right of withdrawal gives online customers 14 calendar days from receipt to ask for a refund. Both start in the exchanges and returns portal, or by writing to [email protected], and the piece must be sent back within 5 days of the request. The customer normally pays the return shipping, and the product cost is refunded, without the original delivery costs, to the same payment method, usually within 5 to 10 working days of the shop receiving it.
Some pieces cannot go back: headpieces, the Forever collection and personalised items (engraving or embroidery), unless there is a manufacturing defect. Sealed perfumes can only be returned while they are still sealed. The warranty covers manufacturing defects for 3 years.
