Premier TEFL: online courses, refund window and recognition
Premier TEFL sells online courses that prepare you to teach English as a foreign language. Nothing is shipped, so the points that matter are the course formats, the refund window and where the certificate is recognized. This guide sums up what the course provider says on its website.
Courses and how you study
The courses are taught fully online and at your own pace. Access is delivered instantly after payment. The shop offers three main routes:
- 120-Hour Online TEFL Course, the fast-track version for beginners, about 3 to 6 weeks
- 180-Hour Level 5 TEFL Diploma with tutor support, about 6 to 10 weeks
- 300-Hour Advanced Diploma, the Level 5 core plus two 60-hour specialisms, about 12 to 14 weeks
The provider says the courses include real teaching practice with ESL students and feedback from qualified instructors. The provider also has an app for studying on the go. Premier TEFL also offers specialist courses and lifetime job support with a job board, coaching and mentorship. The site states that a degree is generally not required to get certified.
Accreditation and recognition
The Level 5 qualification is awarded through Highfield Qualifications, an awarding organization recognized and regulated by Ofqual in England. Premier TEFL is also listed as an approved quality curriculum provider through AQC, administered by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission, and is accredited by OTCAC. The company reports more than 54,000 graduates across 89 countries. A certificate can be checked on the site with the verification tool.
Where you can use it
Because the courses run online, there are no delivery countries. The website is written for learners in the United States, and the checkout shows what is available for your country and currency. The 120 hours are described as the common entry level for TEFL jobs, but the site states that finishing a course does not guarantee a job.

Refund and cancellation
If you buy directly on the website, you can ask for a refund within 14 days. An administration fee applies: USD 30 (or the same number in GBP, EUR, AUD, NZD or CAD) when the purchase is above USD 50, and USD 10 when it is below. The only exception is the Anglo TEFL Scholarship, which is refunded in full.
A request is not approved after you completed more than 2 modules. For the 180-hour Level 5 course, the refund right ends once you have submitted assessment 1. Requests that arrive after 14 days are not approved. Purchases made through REED.co.uk follow a separate rule: you can cancel within 14 calendar days, but redeeming the voucher in that period ends the right to cancel.
Cashback
Open the Premier TEFL page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 12.5%) and the offers we check every day are listed. Press the shop button there, then enrol and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Premier TEFL has reported the order. A refunded course is deducted from the amount. Take only the offers shown on that page, because a code from another site can cost you the cashback.
