Lyca Mobile Austria: prepaid plans, eSIM, registration and how to cancel

· 2026-09-16

Lyca Mobile Austria sells prepaid plans without a contract. There is no parcel to wait for if you choose an eSIM, so the points that matter are different from a normal web shop: how you register, what the plans include, how renewal works and how to leave. This guide goes through them for people in Austria and for anyone planning to move there.

Plans and what they include

Plans run for 28 days. National S has 100 GB, 3,000 national minutes and 3,000 SMS, and it is listed at 6.90 euros for each 28 days. National L has 150 GB with unlimited national minutes and SMS at 14.90 euros, National XL has 300 GB at 19.90 euros, and National UL has unlimited data at 24.90 euros. Each plan comes with roaming data for the EU, and the S and UL plans also cover Ukraine and Moldova. The amounts are 15 GB on S, 20 GB on L, 26 GB on XL and 38 GB on UL. Check the plan page before you buy, because prices and bundles change.

SIM or eSIM

With an eSIM the shop says you have a working number within a few minutes, and activation means scanning the QR code from your confirmation email. A physical SIM is sent out within a few working days and activates when you put it into the phone. To see whether your phone supports an eSIM, dial *#06#. If a 32-digit EID appears next to the IMEI, it does. Lyca also offers a free SIM card order.

Registration in Austria

Every SIM card in Austria has to be registered, and Lyca runs this fully online in a few minutes through its registration page. For an eSIM the shop adds that you need to be in Austria to register and activate it the first time. After that you can use it elsewhere, as far as your plan covers.

Renewal, cancelling and balance

Plans renew automatically as long as your balance is high enough. To stop that, dial *190# before the expiry date or switch off automatic renewal in the Lyca Mobile app. Lyca describes its plans as having no contract, no credit check and no hidden fees, and says customer service can also process a cancellation by phone. Your balance is shown in the app or by dialling *137#.

Keeping your number

To move your current number to Lyca, you buy a Lyca SIM first, ask your old provider for the porting information (NUVI) and send the filled-in port-in form with it to [email protected]. The shop says the transfer takes up to 3 working days and that you get a message when it is done.

Using cashback

Open the Lyca Mobile page at daily cashback to see the current rate ($2.8), the offers and the date we last checked them. Press the shop button, then pick your plan and pay as usual. The cashback shows as open in your free account and becomes confirmed once Lyca has reported the order. If an order is cancelled or refunded, the matching amount is deducted.

Tips before you order

  • Decide between SIM and eSIM first, since the eSIM is active sooner while the SIM travels by post.
  • Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop, as either can break the click.
  • Keep other cashback and voucher sites closed while you order, because a later click can replace the first one.

As of October 2026.
