Hero Wars: in-game purchases, refunds, availability and cashback
Hero Wars is a free-to-play fantasy strategy game from Nexters that you can start in the browser at hero-wars.com. There is nothing to ship, so the questions that matter for shoppers are different: where can you play, what happens to in-game purchases, when is a refund possible and how do you keep your account safe. This guide collects what the site and its terms say.
Where you can play
You sign up with an email address and a password, or with your Google or Facebook account. The site is available in many languages, among them English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese. One regional rule is spelled out on the page: the version at hero-wars.com is not available to users in mainland China, who are sent to a special version at hero-wars.cn. For other countries the terms mention only the usual legal limits, such as export controls and sanctions that may stop someone from using the service.
Age and parental consent
If you are under 18, or under the age of digital consent in your country, the terms ask for explicit consent from a parent or guardian. The site has a separate parents guide, and the terms say that children under 16 have further restrictions. If you buy for a child, read the terms together.
In-game purchases
Playing is free. What you can buy are in-game values and virtual items such as currency and upgrades. The price, billing period and other terms are shown inside the game before you complete a purchase. The terms describe these items as a limited, revocable licence to use them and not as property with real-world value, and the studio may adjust their value, cost or availability. Payments are processed with the billing provider Xsolla.
Refunds
The refund rules are short. Purchases are generally final and non-refundable, except where the law or the policy of the platform you paid on requires otherwise. Nexters may refund at its own discretion in some cases, for example within 48 hours of payment, when the purchased items are unused, or when the purchase gave no competitive advantage. For customers in an EU member state the terms add that the right of withdrawal is waived once delivery of the virtual items has begun. To ask for a refund, write to [email protected]. The decision rests with the company.
| Question | Answer in the terms |
|---|---|
| Delivery | Instant, inside the game |
| Refund window | Case by case, for example within 48 hours |
| Refund contact | [email protected] |
| Payment provider | Xsolla |
Rules that affect your account
The community rules in the terms forbid abusive language, spamming chats and buying or selling in-game values and items through unauthorised channels. Breaking them can lead to warnings, temporary or permanent suspension and the removal of items or values. So buy only inside the game or through the page you are sent to, and never from third-party sellers. If you delete your account, access to the game and to everything linked to it ends as well.
Cashback through daily cashback
Open the Hero Wars page at daily cashback, press the button to the shop and make your purchase from there. Your cashback ($0.05) first shows as pending and turns confirmed after the game has reported the order. If a purchase is refunded, the cashback for it is deducted again. The shop page says which kinds of purchases count, and it lists current offers that we check daily. As of October 2026.
