Buying Movavi software: payment, licences, refund rules and cashback
Movavi sells video editing, screen recording and converter software for Windows and Mac. Because it is a digital product there is no parcel, no shipping and no customs. What counts instead is how you pay, how the licence works and when you can get your money back. We read the refund policy, the payment page and the support centre on movavi.com in October 2026. Trial first, then licence or subscription
Every Movavi program can be tried for free, and each one has its own trial limits. In the video editor, for example, the free version adds a watermark, limits export to 60 seconds of video and locks some advanced features. If you like it, you choose a lifetime licence or an annual subscription to the full version. The shop has a help page that compares the two, and a page on subscription issues. Add-on content called Effect Sets has no free trial but comes with a demo video and a list of compatible programs.
Where you can buy and how you pay
The page does not list countries. It only says that not every payment method works everywhere, so look at what the checkout offers for your location. In total the shop supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Apple Pay, PayPal, iDEAL, Bancontact and wire transfer, depending on the country. The checkout shows the methods for your location, and the licence arrives digitally as an activation key.
Refunds: the 14-day window
A refund request has to come within 14 calendar days of the purchase. The shop names five cases in which you can get your money back:
- A technical problem that support has not solved within 14 calendar days. Send a description and screenshots.
- You bought the same program or Effect Set twice within 14 days. One order is refunded.
- Activation problems that stayed open for 24 hours.
- You bought an Effect Set but own no compatible Movavi program and have not activated it.
- Movavi ends the program or the licence agreement. Then you get the unused part of a prepaid subscription back.
The money returns to your card or bank account within 10 working days after support confirms the refund. Support promises an answer within 3 working days. No refund is possible if you simply changed your mind, dislike the features that were visible in the trial, or have already activated the product and reconsidered. Transaction fees are not refunded. If you bought from a retail store or partner shop instead of movavi.com, ask that seller about the refund rules.

Special rule for the UK and the EEA
For customers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, Movavi states that you agree to immediate availability of the digital content when you buy, and therefore waive the automatic statutory right of withdrawal. A refund or other remedy then applies only if the content is defective, unavailable or does not perform as stated. If your national law gives you more, tell support and they will check.
Using cashback
Open the Movavi page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 15%) and the offers we found are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button, then buy and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as pending and becomes confirmed once Movavi has reported the order, normally after the refund window. A refunded order reduces the amount.
Practical tips
- Test the trial properly in the first days, because the 14-day clock starts at purchase.
- Activate the key only when you are sure, since activated products are excluded from the change-of-mind case.
- Keep screenshots of any error, they speed up support.
