Booking with Snaptrip: payment, cancellation, check-in and cashback
Snaptrip is a UK marketplace for holiday cottages, lodges, log cabins and apartments. It does not own the properties and it does not run one single policy. That shapes everything a visitor from abroad wants to know: who takes the payment, what happens when plans change and how the stay is arranged. The answers below come from the Snaptrip FAQ page, and they apply to a service, so there is no shipping or delivery.
Where the stays are
The destination menu covers England by region, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the Isle of Man. The company is registered in England and Wales and describes itself as a trading name of Snaptrip Group Limited. A booking is a stay in a property, not a product sent to you, so what matters is the property manager's terms.
How a booking works
Snaptrip acts as a marketplace and works directly with property management agencies. You make a provisional booking first, and at that point you receive the property manager's contact details. Once the booking is completed, Snaptrip sends an automatic confirmation email, and the property manager follows with a second email that confirms booking and payment. Nearer to your dates, the manager sends the address and check-in details. If nothing arrives, look in the spam folder and then phone the manager.
Payments are taken by the partners, but the shop promises that you pay the lowest possible price: Snaptrip says it never charges more than you would pay booking directly with the partner, and members can save more. If you find the same property cheaper elsewhere, you email [email protected] and the shop refunds the difference.
Cancellations and changes
This is the part to read twice. The cancellation policy differs for each property manager, and the cost can depend on how early you cancel. The shop says to contact the manager directly for a cancellation, using the details in your confirmation email. If you want to know the terms before booking, you can ask Snaptrip first. Changing dates may carry a charge, which you check with the manager, and a change of party size is also handled by the manager.

Practical points on the stay
- Check-in is usually between 3pm and 4pm and check-out around 10am. The manager's final confirmation gives your exact times.
- Pets: a property marked pet friendly accepts dogs, and a paw print shows how many. Other pets are looked at on request, and no paw print means no pets.
- Not every property has WiFi, and linen and towels are provided by most owners at no extra cost. Both are noted in the listing.
- The maximum party size is on the listing. Extra guests are not allowed because they would void the owner's insurance. An infant under two may be possible if the property has a cot.
- A security deposit may be requested and is fully refunded after the break if there is no damage.
Contact
Snaptrip lists a UK phone number, 0203 637 0812, and email [email protected]. After your stay you receive a review invitation from Trustpilot, and complaints go to the same email address with your booking details.
Using cashback
Open the Snaptrip page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 2.6%) and the offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button, then book and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Snaptrip has reported the booking. A cancelled booking removes the cashback for that booking.
