Amen.fr: payment, renewals, withdrawal and cashback for domains and hosting
Amen.fr is a French provider of domain names, web hosting, email, SSL certificates, servers and website builders. It is a service rather than a shop, so there is no parcel to wait for. What counts here is how you pay, how renewals work, what happens if you change your mind and who you can call. This guide follows the French site, amen.fr, and the terms of service published there.
Where the service applies
The company behind amen.fr is Amen Agence des médias numérique SASU in Paris, and the site and its terms of service are in French. Page footers also offer Portuguese and Dutch versions. Consumer withdrawal rights in the terms refer to French consumer law, so they are written for customers who buy as private individuals. If you are not sure that a product is available for your country or business, ask the support team before you order.
Payment methods
The payment page lists three ways to pay: credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron and Mastercard), PayPal and bank transfer. A fourth option is account credit: you top up a balance in your customer area and pay later orders from it. The site says the balance can be changed at any time and that an email alert arrives when the credit is about to expire. Card payment is the one recommended for renewals close to the deadline, because it happens in real time. With a bank transfer you quote the order number and email a copy of the transfer order to the shop.
Renewals and automatic renewal
Services end on the date shown in your order and customer area unless you renew them. Amen sends a reminder email, at the earliest 30 days before expiry. Services that are not renewed are switched off and deleted on their due date. You can choose automatic renewal when you subscribe. If collecting the payment fails three times, the renewal turns into a manual one. Plan renewals ahead: the terms ask for the paid order at the latest 7 days before the end of the contract.

Cancelling and refunds
Private customers can withdraw within 14 days, counted from the day after the order. You write to [email protected], send the standard withdrawal form, post a registered letter or use your customer area. The refund arrives within 14 days by the same method you paid with. If the card is no longer valid, the shop pays by bank transfer and needs your bank details. There are exceptions: the price and fees for a domain name, renewals, upgrades, changes and additional services cannot be withdrawn, and neither can services fully carried out before the period ends. If you ask for the service to start straight away, you give up the right of withdrawal. Outside the withdrawal period, the terms state that no payment is refunded when a service is suspended, cancelled or transferred early.
The site also advertises free trials, for example 30 days of web hosting. Trial offers carry automatic renewal by default, which is explained to you beforehand.
Support
The help center at amen.fr/help groups articles by topic: domains and DNS, hosting, email, security, websites and servers. For orders and advice you can call 01 70 99 53 41 from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 18:00, billed as a local call.
Using cashback
Open the Amen page at daily cashback and press the shop button. The current rate (up to 15%) is shown there with the offers we check each day. Then order as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed after Amen has reported the order. If you cancel within the withdrawal period, the cashback for that order is deducted. A code taken from another site can cost you the cashback.
