Make Me Surprise makes personalized gifts, from custom pieces to blankets and clothing, and prices everything in US dollars. Because each item is made after you order, shipping and returns work differently from a normal store. This guide lists the shipping costs by country and explains what the 90-day return covers.

Delivery countries and shipping cost

The shop ships internationally and says free shipping is available for orders over US$89. Countries without a free tier are New Zealand, Hungary, Cyprus, South Korea, Luxembourg and Thailand. For other countries, enter your address at checkout; the shipping options and prices appear there. The shop does not ship to APO or FPO addresses or college dorms, offers no overnight shipping, and expedited shipping is not available to PO boxes.

Production and delivery time

Each item is produced to order. The shop gives 1 to 4 business days for production and says orders can take about 5 business days to process because of the customization. Standard shipping then takes 7 to 10 business days according to the shipping policy, while the FAQ mentions 6 to 9 days for standard, 5 to 8 for priority and 3 to 5 for express. If a personalized item has to be remade, delivery can be delayed. A delay of more than 15 days is a reason to email [email protected]. Once shipped, a tracking number follows within 24 to 48 hours.

Currency and payment

All prices are in USD. If you pick another currency on the site, the number you see is only a reference, and your card is charged in your own currency at the exchange rate of the day. The shop takes Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Union Pay, Discover, Diners, JCB, Carte Bancaire, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Returns, refunds and cancellations

The return policy runs 90 days from delivery. If you receive a wrong or defective item, a customization mistake or a major quality problem, email [email protected] with photos or a video. The shop says it then arranges a replacement or refund within 48 hours, without a return, and covers the costs. The FAQ elsewhere mentions 30 days for such requests, so report a problem as soon as you see it.

For a change of mind, you pay the return shipping and the original shipping fee is not refunded. A non-defective personalized item is refunded at 70 percent, since the remaining 30 percent covers the crafting of a piece that was made just for you. Items must come back unused in the original packaging, and the refund follows within 3 business days of receipt. To cancel an order before production, you get a full refund including shipping. Once produced but not shipped, the refund is 70 percent of the product plus full shipping. After dispatch the order cannot be cancelled.

Using cashback

Open the Make Me Surprise page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 5%) and the offers are listed with the date we last checked them. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned item reduces the amount for that item.
