Maltese: craft beer shipping within Italy and Europe, free shipping thresholds and returns
Maltese (maltese.beer) is an Italian online shop for craft beer with several hundred beers from Italy and abroad, plus boxes, glasses and beer food. It ships by courier from Milan, and the shop quotes separate terms for Italy and for the rest of Europe. This guide sorts out what shipping costs, how fast it arrives and how returns work.
Shipping costs and free shipping
For Italy, standard shipping is €8.90 including VAT, and shipping is free from €79 including VAT. The shop says this applies automatically at checkout, without a code. For Europe the shop names France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and the whole European Union. Shipping there costs €25, and it is free from €199. Active subscriptions through Subi qualify for free shipping from €30 per order, and trade customers have their own terms by weight.
These prices are for standard courier service. Extra services such as carrying the parcel inside, storage or redelivery are charged separately by the carrier. The shop's FAQ is more cautious about foreign orders and says it mainly ships within Italy and wants requests for other countries by email. If you are outside Italy, check the cart for your country and write to the shop before ordering larger amounts.
Delivery time and carrier
Orders placed before 13:00 are handed to GLS Italy the same day. Delivery in Italy takes 24 to 72 working hours, longer on islands and remote areas. The FAQ puts the overall time at 3 to 5 working days, and 5 to 7 on islands. Couriers do not deliver on Saturday and Sunday. You get an email or SMS with a tracking code, and the courier calls ahead to agree on delivery. If you are not there repeatedly, the parcel goes into storage at your cost and returns to the shop after 10 days.
Check the parcel while the courier is there. If a bottle is broken, sign for it with a specific note on the delivery slip, such as one bottle broken, and report the damage within one day. Photos go to [email protected]. The shop then replaces or refunds the damaged items, and you do not need to send them back.
Returns and refunds
As a consumer, you have 14 days from receiving the goods to withdraw without giving a reason. Products must be intact and in their original condition. The shop offers an online withdrawal form on its website. Once the return arrives and is checked, the refund is processed within 3 to 5 business days, and it usually appears on your account within 7 to 10 business days. An order that has already shipped cannot be cancelled; if you change your mind right after ordering, write to the shop at once.
Payment
The shipping page lists credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, American Express, PostePay), PayPal, Klarna, Google Pay, Satispay and Amazon Pay. Cash and cash on delivery are not accepted. You receive an invoice by email after the order.

Using cashback
Open the Maltese page at daily cashback, where the current rate (4%) and the offers are listed with the date we last checked them. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as you normally would.
