Shopping at Alibaba.com: delivery by country, Trade Assurance, refunds and cashback
Alibaba.com is a business-to-business marketplace. Manufacturers and suppliers list goods, usually with a minimum order quantity, and you pay and arrange delivery per order. That is different from a normal shop, where one company sets one shipping rate. We looked at the home page, the Trade Assurance page and the buyer help centre on alibaba.com in October 2026. Delivery, price and return terms depend on the supplier and the product, so the offer page and the checkout matter more than any general rule.
Where Alibaba delivers
Every page has a Deliver to selector in the header, and the country is freely selectable. The site preselects the country by location, so check the country selection at the top. Alibaba does not publish one list of delivery countries. Whether a supplier ships to your address, how, and for how much is shown on the product page for your country. If you live in the UK, set the UK before you compare, otherwise delivery dates and shipping costs may belong to another country.
Shipping cost and delivery time
Shipping is set per supplier and per product, so there is no standard fee. Listings show the unit price, the minimum order quantity and often a delivery date and a delivery fee. A few listings carry labels such as free shipping or 7-day delivery. The EU local stock section promises delivery in as little as 5 days with no import charges, but only for items marked as local stock. For goods shipped from abroad the page does not state who pays duties, so read the supplier's terms and the checkout summary before you pay.
Alibaba.com Logistics offers a delivery network with shipment tracking in most countries and regions. Under Trade Assurance the site says you can expect the order by the scheduled date or receive compensation for a delay.

Trade Assurance, payment and refunds
Trade Assurance is Alibaba's order protection. You pay through Alibaba.com by online payment method or bank transfer, and the payment is held in escrow. It is released to the supplier after you have received and confirmed the product. If order terms are not met, the site says it helps to reach a resolution, including refunds or compensation.
The money-back policy covers an order that has not been shipped, has gone missing or arrives with defects, wrong items or damage. Where you live in an eligible country, an Easy Return service lets you send defective products back locally for free. The list of eligible countries is on the Trade Assurance page. Payment options include credit and debit cards, digital wallets, direct bank transfers and flexible payment plans for eligible buyers. Because every supplier sets its own return terms for a change of mind, ask before ordering anything you may want to send back.
Using cashback
Open the Alibaba page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 3.46%) and the offers we found are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button there, then shop and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Alibaba has reported the order, normally after the protection and return period. A refunded order reduces the amount for that purchase.
Practical tips
- Check the minimum order quantity first. Many offers start at a bulk quantity, not a single piece.
- Ask the supplier about shipping, duties and returns in writing before you place a larger order.
- Pay through Alibaba.com so that Trade Assurance applies, not by a transfer outside the platform.
- Finish the order in one visit and keep other cashback or voucher tabs closed, because a later click can replace the first one.
