Buying refurbished IT at AfB: shipping, warranty, returns and cashback
AfB sells refurbished IT, with notebooks from €159 as its showcase, and the shipping rules differ between Austria and Germany. The non-profit company in Vienna creates jobs for people with disabilities. With afbshop.at, shipping, warranty and returns matter most, because used goods follow their own rules. We read the pages on shipping information, right of withdrawal, payment methods and FAQ in October 2026. Shops change terms, so check the amounts at checkout.
Where AfB delivers
The shop names two delivery countries, Austria and Germany. Insured shipping runs through Austrian Post. Delivery to parcel lockers and post office branches is currently not possible. Nothing is said about Switzerland, the UK or other countries. There is also Click & Collect: order online and collect in an afb branch of your choice, with payment on site if you like. That works with a customer account only, not as a guest.
Shipping cost and delivery time
From €89 of goods, shipping is free. Below that the shop charges €5.90 shipping, and for delivery to Germany it is €13.90 in shipping costs.
| At a glance | AfB Shop |
|---|---|
| Shipping Austria | €5.90 shipping, free from €89 |
| Shipping Germany | €13.90 shipping |
| Dispatch | within two working days at most |
| Withdrawal | 14 days, return shipping paid by AfB |
AfB aims to dispatch orders within two working days at most. Inside Austria, the post then usually needs one to two more working days. If the goods have not arrived one week after the order confirmation, contact customer service. For Germany the page gives no separate transit time.
Withdrawal, returns and warranty
You have 14 days from receipt to withdraw. According to the notice, AfB bears the cost of returning the goods. You start the withdrawal in your customer account under Orders with the button Widerruf / Retoure, or as a guest through the link in your confirmation email. The refund goes back the way you paid and normally arrives 2 to 4 working days after the return is received. The only exceptions are services and software with a licence key once opened or once the key is visible.
Every product except software and wear parts such as batteries comes with a voluntary 12-month warranty from the invoice date. For an extra fee it can be extended to as much as 36 months. For repairs and replacements AfB adds 2 weeks. A warranty case is reported in your customer account. For customers in Germany AfB provides a free parcel label, while in other countries return costs are not covered.
Payment
The options are PayPal, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa and Mastercard, prepayment, and invoice and instalments. Invoice applies to order values from €10 to €2,500, instalments from €150 to €2,500, and neither works with a different delivery address or Click & Collect. Prepayment is only for registered customers up to €1,000 of order value, and the goods are reserved for 7 days while you transfer the money. Business customers can buy on invoice.
Using cashback
Open the AfB page at daily cashback, where you find the current rate (up to 4%) and the offers we have checked, with the date. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as pending and becomes confirmed once AfB has reported the order. Returns are deducted again.
Practical tips
- Stock of used devices changes almost daily, and the shop says reserving an item is not possible.
- Ordering from Germany adds €13.90 shipping compared with collection in Austria, so check the total price first.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker, as either can break the click.
- Keep other cashback and voucher sites closed while you shop, because a later click can replace the first one.
