Where cashback exists

The Holidu page at daily cashback shows the current rate, the offers and the date of the last check. A button leads from there to the provider. Your price stays the same, the provider pays us a share and we pass it on. We do not list Airbnb, so a booking there earns no cashback from us and needs no special route.

The right moment for the click

With holiday rentals you usually search for longer. Compare several properties calmly first and go through the shop page to Holidu only shortly before you finish, so the booking arrives in the same session. Ad blocker off, no other comparison or voucher sites in between. The cashback then shows as pending in your free account.

When it is confirmed

The cashback is confirmed once the provider reports the trip as completed, so after the stay. Months can lie between booking and departure, and the entry stays pending meanwhile. That is normal. If you cancel, there is no cashback. So the cancellation rule counts twice: the rule belongs to the host, and typical types are flexible, moderate and strict.

Two payments and your cashback

At Holidu a second payment may fall due, with its deadline in the confirmation email. If it does not arrive, the booking may be cancelled automatically, and the cashback goes with it. Put the deadline in your calendar and keep the account funded. Report a payment problem to Holidu support before the deadline.

Costs on site in view

Cashback is calculated from the amount the provider reports. Costs you only pay on site, such as tourist tax or a deposit, are usually not part of it. With holiday rentals that is often a bigger item than with hotels. So read the section on costs payable locally in the confirmation and include them in your comparison. On Airbnb the service fee and host fees go into the price, which matters for comparing even though there is no cashback there. A short example: two flats are almost level on the nightly rate. One charges final cleaning and linen extra, the other includes both but asks for a deposit. Only the sum over all nights and all items shows which is cheaper. Only then do you ask where you get cashback.

Why Holidu comes first

The reason is factual. Holidu discloses extras before booking and says in its help where to find them: on the property page and later in the confirmation. Hosts' discounts are already in the price, so you do not need to hunt for a code. On top of that you see offers from various hosts side by side. On Airbnb the fee breakdown is also visible before you pay, but there is no cashback from us. That is no verdict on Airbnb, only our recommendation for the route on which you keep more in the end.

After booking

Keep the confirmation and the payment schedule until the cashback is confirmed. Check dates, guest numbers and the property address at once. If you change dates, price and cancellation rule can change, and with the price the amount on which cashback is calculated.
