Booking flights with Cheapvuelos: service fees, cancellations and refunds
Cheapvuelos is a flight booking site: you search fares on its pages and book online or through its phone line. With a booking site the price you see is only part of the story, because service fees, cancellation fees and refund timelines are set by the site and not only by the airline. This guide collects what the shop says about those points and how cashback fits in.
What the site is and who it is written for
Cheapvuelos sells domestic and international airline tickets and calls itself a place to compare flights, airlines and prices. The pages quote fares in US dollars, the phone line is a US number and the popular routes on the home page start in US cities such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle and Tampa. You can search round trips and one-way flights in economy, premium economy, business and first class for adults, children and infants. Bookings can be made online or by calling the support line.
What a ticket really costs
The site says the displayed fares include fuel surcharges, taxes and its own service fees. It also warns that the fares shown on the home page are based on historical data and cannot be guaranteed at the time of booking, and that the lowest fares may require purchase up to 21 days in advance. The final total on the payment page is the only amount charged.
The service fee is charged per passenger and per ticket. On most online airfares the service fee is up to $35 for every passenger and every ticket that you book through the site. Business and first class bookings can carry up to $150 per passenger, multi-city and open-jaw trips up to $100, and vacation packages up to $50. Bookings made through the contact center, for example multi-stop or round-the-world itineraries, can cost between $10 and $200 per passenger. The taxes and fees page adds that the fee can reach $100 per person depending on cabin and trip type, so read the breakdown before you pay. Service fees are not refundable and are converted approximately into your local currency.
Cancellations and refunds
Airline tickets booked here are described as non-refundable unless the fare rules allow a refund. A refund request is only accepted if the fare rules provide for it, you are not a no-show and the supplier grants a waiver. Cancellations have to be made by phone. The policy page says refunds usually take 60 to 90 days, and gives shorter figures of 24 to 72 business hours for cancellations inside the void window and 4 to 5 business weeks afterwards. The company also states that it offers 24-hour free cancellation for reservations referred by partner websites, so ask when you book whether that applies to you.
When you cancel with an agent after the first 24 hours, an extra service charge applies. For economy tickets the schedule lists $40 when the amount is kept for a later flight, and $100 for domestic or $200 for international tickets when you want a refund. Changes to an existing ticket are priced on top of the airline's own penalty and any fare difference, and the schedule for economy tickets within the US starts at $75.

Contact
You can call +1-855-526-0707 or write to [email protected]. Because changes and cancellations go through the phone line, keep your booking confirmation at hand when you call.
Using cashback
Open the Cheapvuelos page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to $20) and the offers are listed with the date we last checked them. Press the shop button, search and book as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed after the booking has been reported. A cancelled or refunded ticket reduces the amount again, and cashback is not guaranteed on fares that were changed after the click.
Before you book
- Compare the total on the payment page with the fare shown in the search results, as the service fee is part of it.
- Write down the confirmation number, because changes and cancellations are handled by phone.
- Finish the booking in one visit and pause your ad blocker, as either can break the click.
- Keep other cashback and voucher tabs closed while you book, since a later click can replace the first one.
