Booking with AML Travel and Tours: payment, instalments, cancellation and cashback
AML Travel and Tours is a licensed tour operator in Tanzania. It sells safaris in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro treks, Zanzibar beach holidays and flight tickets. Nothing is shipped, so the questions that matter are different: who can book from abroad, which currency applies, how instalments work and what happens if you cancel. This guide answers them for travelers booking from the UK, the US and elsewhere.
Booking from abroad
The company is based in Dar es Salaam and works with local guides, drivers and lodges. Trips can be booked on the website by travelers from any country. All website bookings are processed in pounds sterling (GBP), wherever you are. Visa and entry rules are your responsibility, and the shop's FAQ says requirements can change, so confirm them with official sources before you travel. According to the FAQ, most nationalities need a visa, and one visa covers both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. It also names the e-Visa as the easiest route. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates and have a blank page.
Payment and instalments
At checkout you can pay in full with no additional fee or spread the cost over automatic payments. The number of instalments depends on how far away your departure is:
- 4 instalments if the trip starts at least 60 days from now.
- 6 instalments if it starts at least 90 days away.
- 10 instalments if it starts at least 150 days away.
If you choose instalments, the shop adds a fee of 3 percent to the trip price, and checkout shows that amount before you confirm. The last instalment is always collected 30 days before departure. Payments run through Stripe, and you get an email after each one. If you prefer a bank transfer from outside Tanzania, contact the team first so they can confirm the amount, currency and details for your booking.
Cancellation and refunds
Refunds depend on how long before departure you cancel. The shop gives this schedule:
- 60 days or more: the deposit is forfeited and the remainder is refunded.
- If you cancel 45 to 60 days before departure, the shop refunds 50 percent of the booking price, and the rest stays with the operator.
- If you cancel 30 to 44 days before departure, the shop refunds only 25 percent of the booking price, and the rest stays with the operator.
- Less than 30 days: no refund.
Full wording is on the shop's Terms and Conditions page, so read it before paying a deposit. Since the last instalment falls due 30 days before departure, the point at which refunds end and the final payment date line up.

Cashback
Open the AML Travel and Tours page at daily cashback, where the current rate (3%) is shown. Press the shop button and book as usual. The cashback appears in your free account as open and becomes confirmed after the operator has reported the booking. Cancelled bookings are deducted. Current discount offers for the site are listed on the same page, and we check them daily. A code from another site can cancel the cashback, so only use the offers listed there.
