Shopping at Pet and Garden from abroad: shipping, returns and cashback
Pet and Garden is a French-run online shop for pet supplies, farm and outdoor equipment, and it ships to a long list of European countries from one German-language storefront. If you live outside Germany, the useful questions are which carrier brings the parcel, what it costs to your country and how a return works across a border. The details below come from the shop's own delivery, returns and payment pages.
Where Pet and Garden delivers
The delivery page lists a price for each destination country. It covers Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain (not the Canary Islands), Portugal, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Denmark, Sweden, Greece, Cyprus and a number of Balkan, Baltic and Eastern European countries, among them Albania, Croatia and Romania. Liechtenstein, Monaco, Andorra and Gibraltar are on the list as well. The United States does not appear on the delivery page, so do not plan an order to a US address without asking the shop first.
Shipping cost by country
Standard shipping depends on the country and the carrier. Pick-up point delivery is usually a little cheaper than home delivery.
| Destination | Carrier and shipping cost |
|---|---|
| Germany | Hermès, shipping €7.99; DHL pick-up point €8.49 |
| Austria | DPD, shipping €12.99; pick-up point €11.49 |
| Switzerland | FedEx, shipping €19.06 |
| France | Colis privé, shipping €7.49; Colissimo €7.99 |
| Netherlands | Post NL, shipping €8.49; pick-up point €6.99 |
| United Kingdom | FedEx, shipping €21.07 |
| Poland | InPost, shipping €12.11 |
Many Balkan and Baltic destinations are charged a flat €25.99 shipping fee on the page. Heavy or bulky items such as larger garden products can add extra delivery charges, which the checkout calculates automatically in the step where you choose the shipping method.
Processing time and delivery time
The order cut-off is 15:00 Central European Time. Processing takes one to two working days and delivery two to six working days. Each product page states its own dispatch time under the add-to-basket button, and the time can change when you choose another size.
Returns and refunds
You have 30 days after receiving the order to start a return. Items must come back in the original packaging with intact labels. Personalised products, such as printed jerseys, cannot be returned. You start the return through the form in your account or the return link, then send the parcel within 15 days of approval. Return postage is paid by you, unless the item is faulty and customer service approves a prepaid label.
Money goes back within 14 days under the shop's refund rules, to the original payment method. You can alternatively choose store credit, valid for 12 months. Pet and Garden does not exchange items directly: send the first one back and place a new order.
Payment
The payment page names bank transfer (from €300), Klarna (for orders from €700 up to €10,000), bank card, Apple Pay and PayPal. Which of these appear depends on your billing country, and the checkout shows what is available to you.
Cashback
Open the Pet and Garden page at daily cashback, press the shop button and complete your order in the same visit. Your cashback rate (up to 3.5%) is shown on that page. The reward appears in your free account as open and turns confirmed once the shop has approved the order after the return period. If you send something back, the cashback for that item is deducted.
Tips for non-German addresses
- Compare pick-up point and home delivery before paying, since the gap per parcel can be a few euros.
- Check the shipping step in the checkout before you pay, because bulky items can add a surcharge.
- If you pay with a code from another site, cashback may not be tracked.
