Booking stays with b0arding: cancellation types, guest fees and cashback
b0arding is an online booking platform for hotels and vacation rentals, aimed at travellers who like to watch video reviews before they book. Since it sells stays instead of parcels, there is no postage to compare. What counts here is who sets the cancellation rules, which fees you pay as a guest and how to reach the team. This guide goes through those points and shows how to earn cashback on a booking.
Where you can book
The home page lists city pages such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, Dubai and Barcelona, so stays are offered in many countries. The shop does not state a list of countries from which you may book. Look at the total in the checkout before you pay.
Fees for guests
According to the terms of use, you pay the rate shown when the reservation is placed. b0arding does not take a commission from guests, but guests cover transaction fees such as credit card, debit card or third-party payment platform charges. The shop charges its hosts a service fee, not you. A buy now, pay later option is offered, powered by Affirm.
Cancellation depends on the host
Hosts choose their own cancellation policy when they create a listing, so two stays in the same city can have different rules. The terms name three types and describe them like this:
- Strict: according to the terms of use of the shop, a 50% refund is offered for a cancellation made 14 days before check-in
- Moderate: according to the terms of use of the shop, a 50% refund is offered for a cancellation made 7 days before check-in
- Flexible: according to the terms of use of the shop, a full refund is offered for a cancellation made 48 hours before check-in
Check the policy on the listing before you confirm, because it sets what you get back. The terms also say b0arding may require you to pay all fees when a host's cancellation requirements are not met.
Approval and contact
Hosts have 24 hours to approve a booking. You can write to potential hosts through the messenger built into the platform. Support is reached by email through the contact page, and the FAQ and help centre cover payments, cancellations and booking changes.

Video review credit
The shop gives $20 of travel credit for every approved video review of a stay, which you can redeem as a discount on a later booking. Reviews are submitted on the platform.
Cashback with daily cashback
Open the b0arding page at daily cashback, where the current rate (2.5%) is shown. Press the shop button and book as usual. In your free account the cashback first appears as open and becomes confirmed once b0arding has reported the stay. If a booking is cancelled, the cashback is deducted again. Practical tips
- Compare several stays in the same city, because the cancellation type can differ from listing to listing.
- Read the cancellation type on the listing before you pay, not after.
- Finish the booking in one visit with the same browser and pause your ad blocker.
- Do not use a code from another site in the same visit. A foreign code can cost you the cashback.
