Shopping at Vellgus: shipping, customs, returns, warranty and cashback
Vellgus sells red light panels, an infrared sauna blanket and related devices. It is a North American company with warehouses in Ottawa and Jacksonville plus an overseas warehouse, and its rules differ depending on whether you live in the USA or Canada or somewhere else. The shop states that its devices are not intended to diagnose, cure or prevent diseases. Here are the shipping, customs, return and warranty terms it publishes.
Shipping costs
For orders in the USA and Canada, the shop covers the shipping. For international orders, shipping costs are worked out at checkout, and the shop says it ships to many countries worldwide at a discounted rate with several carriers to choose from. Because the amount depends on your address and the device, add the product to your cart and look at the checkout total before you decide.
Dispatch and delivery times
Vellgus says it ships within 1 to 5 business days of the order. Items leave from the Ottawa, Jacksonville or overseas warehouse, depending on the product and its stock. At the moment some items go by Air Express straight from the overseas warehouse with UPS, FedEx or DHL, and the typical transit time is 8 to 10 business days. Every order is trackable from dispatch to arrival. Automated arrival dates are estimates, so the parcel may come a day or two earlier or later.
The shop does not deliver to PO boxes or forwarding addresses. If you enter one or refuse to confirm your address, the order is cancelled and refunded minus the Stripe processing fees. Once the carrier shows a delivery, the shop is no longer responsible for the parcel.
Customs and taxes
For USA and Canada orders you pay no customs duties or taxes, because the shop has paid them in advance. For orders to other countries, import charges are collected when the item arrives, and the shop cannot control or change them. Since the rules vary by country, find out what applies to you before you order.
Returns and refunds
You can return a product within 30 days of purchase. Write to the shop first with your order information, because returns sent without contact will not be processed. The device must come back like new and resaleable, in the original packaging. The return shipping costs are yours, and international shipping charges are not refunded. Orders that are cancelled or returned carry a 20% restocking fee, shipping fees are not refunded and sale items are final. Refunds go back to the payment method of the order once the shop has received and inspected the device. Report a damaged delivery within 10 days.
The warranty runs up to 3 years from delivery. If a light does not work properly, the shop repairs or replaces it, case by case. Damage caused by the customer, such as drops or opening the device, is not covered.

Using cashback

A return reduces the cashback for that item, and a code from another site can cost you the cashback.
Practical tips
- Outside the USA and Canada, look at the checkout total including shipping and keep the possible import charges in mind.
- Use a street address, never a PO box or a forwarding service.
- Open the package soon after delivery and report damage within 10 days.
