Blue Elephant UK: delivery, returns on food and cashback
Blue Elephant UK sells Thai cooking kits, curry pastes, ready-made sauces, noodles, spices, snacks and teas, with a registered address on City Road in London. Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Before you order it helps to know when delivery is free, how fast parcels are sent, which returns are accepted for food and how to cancel. This guide goes through it and ends with the cashback steps.
Delivery in the UK
The shop advertises free deliveries in the UK on all orders over £30. For smaller baskets the delivery charge is shown before your order is accepted, so you see it at checkout. Orders are delivered to the address you enter, and the shop aims to send everything in one single delivery, subject to availability. Alternative delivery methods may be offered at checkout.
The delivery policy is written for the UK market. It does not set out a delivery service to other countries, so if you live outside the UK, enter your address at checkout or ask customer service before you fill the basket.
How quickly orders are sent
Most products are posted within 2 to 3 working days of receiving the order. If a delay is likely, the shop emails you. Delivery dates shown on the site are estimates only. Other than for pre-orders or items awaiting stock, delivery should happen within 30 days of your order being acknowledged. Risk of damage or loss passes to you once the product is delivered.
| Topic | What the shop says |
|---|---|
| Free delivery | Free delivery on UK orders over £30 |
| Dispatch | Most products posted within 2 to 3 working days |
| Delivery window | Normally within 30 days of the order being acknowledged |
| Cancellation right | 14 days, unopened items |
| Damaged or faulty items | Return within 7 days of dispatch |
Cancelling, returns and refunds
You can cancel an order at any time before it is processed by emailing [email protected]. If the item has not been dispatched and there is enough time to stop it, your card is not charged. If you cancel too late, you can refuse delivery so the parcel returns to the shop, and an unopened, undamaged product is refunded to your card.
The returns policy accepts returns within the 14-day cancellation period, as is your statutory right, as long as the items are unopened. Items that arrive damaged, defective or faulty can be returned within 7 days of dispatch. In both cases the shop either refunds the product or, if suitable, replaces or repairs it. Food cannot be returned unless the parcel is completely unopened, and a return caused by misuse of a product may be refused. Contact customer service first and follow the returns steps they give you.
Payment
The terms of sale describe payment by credit or debit card. Card details are encrypted, and card holders are subject to validation checks by the issuer. For orders paid with a debit card the shop may ask for proof of age.
Using cashback
Open the Blue Elephant page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 1%) is shown. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned item is deducted again. Use only offers from that page, because a code from another site can cost you the cashback.
