Shopping at Beautywelt: shipping by country, returns and cashback

Beautywelt is a German online perfumery and beauty shop from Buchholz near Hamburg, selling fragrances, make-up, skincare and hair care. The shop is in German, but its shipping page lists a price for each destination country. This guide shows what delivery costs outside Germany, how returns work and how to use cashback.

Shipping costs by country

Inside Germany the shop charges 4.90 euros shipping for orders up to 19.99 euros and 3.90 euros from 20 euros. Express shipping costs 14.95 euros for orders placed by 11:00, with delivery on the next working day Monday to Thursday, if it is offered during checkout. Parcels are sent insured with DHL, and you can use a Packstation.

For Austria the page shows shipping from 9.90 euros. Switzerland is outside the EU, so any customs and import tax are paid by the buyer.

Delivery time and tracking

The delivery time is shown on each product. The shop advertises 2 to 4 working days. If you pay by advance payment or bank transfer, credit card, giropay, PayPal or Sofort, the delivery period starts one day after the payment instruction, otherwise one day after the order. When the parcel is on its way you receive a tracking number by email, and DHL can leave it at a branch for 7 working days if you are not at home. Every order includes one to three free samples.

Currency

Payments and refunds within the EU are in euros. For the USA and the rest of the world the shop bills in US dollars.

Returns

You have 14 days from receiving the last item to withdraw. You can do it by letter, fax, email or online on the shop's site. Returns are registered in the shop's returns portal, which provides the label digitally only. Return shipping is paid by you, except when a defective, faulty or wrong product was delivered. Credit is only given for complete returns, including any gifts that came with a product, but free samples can be kept.

Sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons lose the right of withdrawal once the seal is removed. The right also does not apply to consumers who live and take delivery outside the EU. The refund goes back by the payment method you used.

Payment, devices and contact

Accepted are advance payment, PayPal, giropay, credit card (Visa and Mastercard), Sofort and purchase on invoice, which must be paid within 10 days of receiving the goods. A voucher code can be entered in the basket step. If an electrical device from brands like Wella, Dyson or ghd is faulty during the warranty period, you register the claim with the manufacturer. Using cashback

Tips

  • Check the shipping cost for your country in the basket: the page notes that the calculation only works when something is in the basket.
