Renting a game server at 4Netplayers: locations, terms and cashback
4Netplayers rents game servers and voice servers for more than 100 games, from Minecraft and Valheim to Rust and Palworld. The company belongs to 4Players GmbH in Hamburg and has been doing this for over 20 years. Nothing is shipped here: what matters is where the servers stand, how fast yours is ready, how long you are bound and how to cancel.
Server locations and availability
The Minecraft page lists 14 locations: Frankfurt, London, Paris, Madrid, Warsaw and Helsinki in Europe, San Jose, Dallas, St. Louis and Washington D.C. in the US, plus Sao Paulo, Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong. You pick the place closest to your players and can change it later. For a group spread over several countries, choose the location that gives everyone a stable connection. The terms promise that the servers are reachable 98 percent of the time on a yearly average, with exceptions for force majeure and problems outside the company's control. Maintenance runs every day between 4 and 10 am (German time), and updates or game patches can briefly interrupt play.
Setup, plans and contract length
After ordering, the server is normally online within a few minutes. For Minecraft you choose RAM from 2 to 12 GB and a term of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. A longer term earns a discount: 3 percent for 3 months, 5 percent for 6 months and 10 percent for 12 months. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Switching to another of the 100-plus games is free of extra charge. Each Minecraft server includes automatic backups, full FTP access, more than 750 one-click modpacks and a free server address.

Cancelling and withdrawal
Here the pages differ slightly, so check your customer account before you book. The terms say a hosting contract has a minimum term, renews by the agreed follow-up term and must be cancelled in writing by post or fax. The Minecraft page says you cancel online in the customer center. Consumers also have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the terms, which you declare in text form to 4Players GmbH, Paul-Stritter-Weg 2, 22297 Hamburg. For services, the shop may ask for payment for the time already used.
Payment and prices
The terms name bank transfer, direct debit and credit card via the My4Players payment system. Prices can be shown in 19 currencies, among them euro, US dollar, pound sterling, Swiss franc, Canadian and Australian dollars, so you can see the plan in your own currency.
Support
The live chat is staffed on weekdays from 11 to 19 and on weekends from 12 to 15, German time. Email support is open around the clock at [email protected], and there is a phone line, a status page and a wiki with guides. Check the status page first if the server seems down.
Cashback at 4Netplayers
The 4Netplayers page at daily cashback shows the current rate (up to 25%) and the offers with the date of the last check. Press the shop button, then order as usual. In your free account the cashback is first open and becomes confirmed once 4Netplayers has reported the order. If a contract is withdrawn or refunded, the amount for it is deducted.
Practical tips
- Book a short term first. You can still move to a longer one and take the discount once you know the server suits your group.
- Note the cancellation deadline of your contract in your calendar, because the plan renews on its own.
- Finish in one visit and pause your ad blocker, so the click is not lost.
