Buying a USIMS travel eSIM: countries, plans, refunds and cashback
USIMS sells data-only eSIM plans for travel through its app, and there is nothing to ship: you buy the plan on your phone and install the eSIM within minutes. What counts here is where the eSIM works, how long a plan lasts and what happens if you change your mind. Prices are in US dollars.
Where USIMS works
The company says a single eSIM covers more than 120 countries and regions. You look up a country in the USIMS app or on the website to see the plans and prices for it. The FAQ names two exceptions: the service is not available in Lebanon or in Israel. USIMS offers data only. There is no phone number, neither a new nor a second one. Your phone must support eSIM, and the app checks this when you try to get one.
How buying works
Download the USIMS app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in with a code sent by SMS or through your WhatsApp number. In the app, open Settings, tap Buy eSIM, confirm, and choose Apple Pay or enter your credit card details. After the purchase you press Install SIM and follow the steps on iOS or Android. When you arrive abroad, switch the line on and select USIMS for cellular data. The shop says the eSIM activates instantly, without scanning a QR code.
Plans, prices and validity
The first eSIM is free for new users and for buyers of any data plan, and it has unlimited validity. If you delete it, a new eSIM costs $1, so the free offer applies to the first one only. Data plans start at $2 each, only the eSIM itself is free, and a single plan is valid for 10 days. Buying several plans at once earns a discount of up to 50 percent. USIMS also mentions a free trial of 1 GB for the USA and Europe. There are no monthly fees for app users. All prices are listed in US dollars, but you can pay in the currency of your choice, and you get a receipt as PDF in the app.
Be careful with a second eSIM: when you buy a new one, the previous eSIM and its active plans are deleted. You do not need a new eSIM every time you buy a plan.
Cancellation and refunds
The terms say that purchases of eSIMs, hard SIMs and data packages are final once payment is completed. The products are used up when bought, so no refund is possible after payment. Remaining top-up credit cannot be paid out in cash. You can cancel and delete your DataSIM at any time through the app, which stops further use of the service.

Using cashback
Open the USIMS page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 10%) and the offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button, then buy as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once USIMS has reported the order. If an order is reversed, the cashback for it is deducted.
Practical tips
- Check that your phone supports eSIM before you pay, because purchases are final.
- Install the eSIM while you still have Wi-Fi, then switch it on when you land.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker, since either can break the click.
