Buying Kaspersky from the UK store: plans, trial, money-back guarantee and cashback
Kaspersky UK is the British storefront of the security software maker. Nothing here ships in a box. You buy a licence, download the programme and activate it, so the questions that matter are different from a normal shop: which plan fits, which devices it covers, what happens if you change your mind, and where a customer from another country should shop. The site at kaspersky.co.uk is the United Kingdom store, with prices in pounds. At the top of the page a country list leads to other regional sites, among them the United States, Belgium and Luxembourg, Germany and Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain and many more. If you live outside the UK, the regional site for your country is the one built for you, with its own prices and language. The UK store is the right choice when you live in the UK.
The three plans
The home page shows three plans for home users, and each is marked as running on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS:
- Kaspersky Premium Total Security, the top plan, listed with 24 protection features and labelled Best Value.
- Kaspersky Plus Internet Security, with 17 protection features.
- Kaspersky Standard Antivirus, the entry plan, with 12 protection features.
The comparison table shows with ticks and crosses which feature belongs to which plan, for example real-time antivirus, online payment protection, performance optimisation, VPN, data leak checker, identity protection and virus removal help. Read that table first, because the cheapest plan does not include everything the dearest one does. The number of devices is picked on the product page with a selector, and the price changes with it.
Delivery, trial and activation
There is no postage, since the product is a download. For some plans the shop offers a free 30-day trial before you buy. Existing customers have a renewal centre where you enter the licence key to be taken to the renewal page for that product. The shop also shows a message that some licences cannot be renewed online and that you can buy a new licence in the store instead.
Money-back guarantee
