Banden.nl: how ordering, delivery and returns work for tyres
Banden.nl is a Dutch site for tyres, rims, oils and car parts. It is run by TyresNet GmbH and works in two ways: as a price comparison platform that sends you on to a seller, and as a marketplace where you can add items to the basket and order directly on Banden.nl. Delivery and returns depend on which of the two routes you take, so this guide separates them.
How the site works
You find tyres with the tyre selector by entering width, height and diameter. The same works for rims, oils and accessories with their own selectors. After pressing search you can filter by price, brand, seller, test reviews and more, and compare several products side by side. When you have made a choice you have two options. You can click through to the seller's own website and finish the order there, or, if the shop is listed in the marketplace, add the item to the basket and order on Banden.nl itself.
Delivery and shipping costs
Every seller on Banden.nl has different delivery options. The product page shows what shipping costs for each offer, and the shop information lists the delivery details and availability. When you order directly on Banden.nl, the basket shows the delivery and payment policy of each seller. When you click through to a partner, the delivery information is on the seller's website, usually in the top or bottom menu. The site states that Banden.nl does not carry the transport risk, and the seller is responsible for everything about the order, including delivery problems. The pages do not list a delivery time or a list of countries, so read the offer before you order.
Payment
The payment methods depend on the seller and are displayed next to the offer on the product page. When you buy directly on Banden.nl you can choose from several methods on the payment page. The FAQ describes bank transfer, credit cards and PayPal or another online payment service. With a bank transfer you find the account details and the total on the thank you page. Your order is only processed once the payment is confirmed. You receive an order confirmation by email with an eight digit order number, and a tracking form shows the status and the name of the delivery company.
Returns and the 14-day withdrawal
For orders placed with TyresNet, the withdrawal information says you can cancel the contract within fourteen days without giving a reason. The period starts the day you or a person you name takes possession of the goods. You tell the shop with a clear statement, for example a letter or an email, and it is enough to send that notice before the period ends. The shop then refunds all payments, including the standard delivery costs, within fourteen days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method. According to the text, TyresNet collects the goods and pays the return shipping. You only bear a loss in value if you handled the goods more than needed to check them.
During the withdrawal period you should handle the product and the packaging with care and only unpack or use it as far as needed to decide whether you keep it. If you buy from a partner after clicking through, that seller's own return terms apply, so look at them on the seller's site.

Using cashback
Open the Banden.nl page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 2%) and the offers we check every day are listed. Press the shop button and then choose your tyres as normal. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Banden.nl has reported the order, normally after the withdrawal period. A returned order reduces the cashback for it.
