Delivery in the UK
All standard UK delivery is free. Goods are delivered to the address you entered when ordering. You can change it after ordering, but only before dispatch and only by phone or email. Many mattresses are vacuum packed, rolled and boxed, which makes them easy to carry in. Some larger or premium models arrive flat, which the product description states. The shop cannot collect your old mattress or bed; your local council or tip may offer disposal, sometimes for a fee.
After delivery
Unroll a rolled mattress within 14 days of delivery to protect its structure. It can take up to 48 hours to reach its full shape. To keep it in good condition, rotate it once a month, use a mattress protector and avoid sitting on the edges for long, especially with vacuum packed models without side support. Mattresses carry a manufacturer's warranty. The standard warranty is 1 year, and some products have longer cover, so check the product details.
Returns and refunds
The Sleep People offers a 30-day return policy. You can return an item within 30 days of delivery, as long as it is unused and in its original packaging. Contact customer service with your order number and the reason, and they guide you through the process. You pay for the return unless the product arrives damaged or in a different size than ordered; then the shop arranges a return or replacement at no extra cost and may ask for pictures. Exchanges are not offered. Instead, you get a refund and place a new order. Refunds go through the payment processor and can take up to 7 working days. After that, write to the team.
