Buying an eSIM from eSIMania: coverage, cancellation, refunds and cashback
eSIMania sells prepaid mobile data as an eSIM, so there is no physical card to ship and nothing to wait for at the door. What matters instead is where a plan works, whether your phone can use it, and what happens if you change your mind. The shop has operated since 2023 and describes itself as serving travellers in over 190 countries.
Where the plans work
The site offers plans for individual countries, for regions such as Europe, Asia, the Caribbean or Africa, and a Global plan. The terms state that a plan can only be used in the countries listed in the plan you bought, so read that list before paying. If you travel through several countries, a regional plan is the one to compare.
Each plan includes a set amount of data for a fixed period. If you use up the data, you buy another plan. If the period ends first, the unused data expires and there is no refund.
What you need before you buy
The eSIM is installed by scanning a QR code, so your phone has to support eSIM technology. The shop has a page of compatible devices and an installation guide. The terms also say your device has to be open to all operators. A phone locked by its carrier can block the eSIM, and in that case there is no refund.
Pricing and payment
The default currency for transactions is US dollars. The available payment options are displayed on the platform at checkout, and the payment itself is collected by a credit company or clearing provider rather than by eSIMania directly. A purchase only becomes effective when that provider confirms the payment.
Cancellation and refunds
Payments are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled, even if you did not use the plan, unless mandatory consumer law gives you a right to cancel. Once you scan the QR code and install the eSIM, the service counts as provided, and the purchase can no longer be cancelled.
Where a right to cancel does apply, you contact the shop through the contact form on the website. If the request is accepted, the shop refunds the price by the same payment method, minus a cancellation fee of at most 5 percent of the price or 15 USD, whichever is lower. At its own discretion, the shop may also credit an eSIMoney balance if the supplier allows a refund, but not for an eSIM that was already activated.
Support
Problems with a plan can be raised through the online chat in the app. The website also has a Help Center, a troubleshooting page and an FAQ about compatibility, moving an eSIM to a new device, and what to do if an eSIM does not work. Mobile services themselves come from third-party network providers, who can change or suspend a plan on their side.

Using cashback
Open the eSIMania page at daily cashback, where the current rate (5%) and the current offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button there, then shop and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once eSIMania has reported the order. If a purchase is refunded, the cashback for it is deducted.
Practical tips
- Check the country list of the plan against your route before you pay.
- Make sure your phone is eSIM compatible and not locked to a carrier, because refunds are excluded in that case.
- Install the eSIM only when you are ready to use it, since scanning the QR code ends your cancellation option.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop, because either can break the cashback click.
