Shopping at Vino.com: shipping, duties, returns and cashback

· 2026-10-06

Vino.com is an Italian online wine shop based in Florence that sells wine, spirits and beer and ships to 15 countries. For a shop that sends bottles across borders, the important questions are who delivers where, how long it takes, how taxes are handled and what happens if a bottle breaks. We read the international delivery page, the shipping table, the FAQ and the right-of-withdrawal page on vino.com in October 2026. The shop can change its rules, so check the basket before you pay.

Countries it ships to

The shop delivers to Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. You choose the destination, the language and the currency in a selector at the top of the page. Currencies on offer are euro, Swiss franc, Danish krone, Swedish krona and pound sterling. A single account can place orders for different destinations, for example when you send wine as a gift.

Taxes, duties and customs

Prices are recalculated automatically for the destination country, with its VAT rate and any other taxes. According to the shop, the price already includes all taxes and duties of the destination, including excise duty. For countries outside the EU, such as Switzerland and the UK, Vino.com handles both the export from Italy and the import at the destination. The shop says no extra costs are charged on delivery, and that you do not have to deal with customs paperwork.

Shipping cost and delivery time

Shipping is free from an order value of 120 €. Below that, the fee can be flat or variable depending on weight, the number of bottles and the destination address, and the basket shows it before you pay. The FAQ quotes a shipping fee of 14.90 € for Italy as a general figure. For other countries the basket shows the fee.

Orders go out by express courier, UPS or BRT, in a double cardboard box that protects against knocks and temperature swings. The shop's delivery table gives the typical times:

DestinationDelivery time
Italy24 to 48 hours
Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain72 to 96 hours
Denmark, UK, Czechia, Slovakia96 to 120 hours
Finland120 to 144 hours

Smaller islands and mountain villages take about 24 to 48 hours longer. For products marked as arriving soon, the basket shows an estimate before you complete the order.

Right of withdrawal and damaged bottles

As a consumer you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. Write to [email protected] or use the form on the page, and send the goods back within 14 days after you notified the shop, using the document the shop sends you. The return shipping is at your cost unless Vino.com failed to tell you that at the time of purchase. The bottles must come back complete, undamaged and untampered with, in their original state.

If a bottle arrives broken, contact the shop at once by email, chat or phone. You may be asked for photos of the bottle, the shipping box, the label and the courier's delivery note. If the damage is obvious on delivery, the shop asks you to sign the courier's copy of the delivery note with the remark "accepted under reserve" and a description of the problem. You can also cancel an order that has not been processed yet and receive the full amount back.

Payment

The FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Postepay, American Express and Discover cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Klarna and bank transfer. Cash on delivery may be offered at the shop's discretion. A bank transfer has to arrive within 2 days after the order confirmation.

Using cashback

Open the Vino page at daily cashback, which is in German and shows the current rate (up to 3%) and the offers we found with the date of the last check. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Vino.com has reported the order. A returned product reduces the amount for that item.

Tips

  • If your basket is just under 120 €, compare the shipping fee with the price of one more bottle. A bottle you return will not count for cashback.
  • The shop lets you give a delivery address that differs from the billing address, so a workplace is possible if nobody is home during the day.
  • Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker, because either can break the click.
