Costs and trial fitting
According to the FAQ, the whole PROAURIS service is free and non-binding. That includes the phone advice, the callback and the appointment booking. You pay the acoustician only if you decide to buy a device. Trying devices before that is free as well. The acoustician selects suitable models using your audiogram, and you can wear them for several weeks. The number of devices you try is not limited, and you do not have to buy afterwards. You can start a trial even without a doctor's prescription. If you then want to buy, you need a prescription from an ENT doctor to get the subsidy from the statutory health insurance.
