Klook vs GetYourGuide: Which Fits You, and Where Is Cashback Paid?

· 2026-09-24

Klook vs GetYourGuide: for tours and tickets with cashback, go through Klook, a shop with its own page at daily cashback. GetYourGuide has no page with us, so its bookings pay nothing from us. Prices on both depend on date, operator and fare, so we explain the route to cashback and the cancellation rules. Status October 2026.

Booking tours and tickets: the steps

  1. Open the Klook shop page (US site, in English) and read what it says about timing and refunds.
  2. Pause your ad blocker, leave no other voucher or price-comparison page open, then use the button on the shop page. Klook loads in a fresh window.
  3. Pick your activity and read its cancellation label on the activity page: free cancellation, conditional cancellation or no cancellation.
  4. Apply a promo code or KlookCash if you have one. Check the terms on the shop page first if you plan to combine them.
  5. Pay. A pending entry for the order appears in your free account.
  6. Do the activity. With tours and tickets, confirmation often arrives only after the date itself, and then the cashback is credited.

The Klook price stays the same for you. Keep your booking reference, which Klook asks for if you ever contact support about the order.

A practical rule follows from the three labels. If the date is firm, an activity without cancellation is fine, and your cashback only waits for the activity to take place. If your plans might move, pick an activity that offers free cancellation, and accept that the cashback goes if you do cancel.

When the cashback lapses

  • You use Apply for refund: with free cancellation you cancel yourself in the Bookings area. A cancelled order earns nothing.
  • Refunded money: our Klook page says returned money earns no cashback. Once approved, a Klook refund is set in motion within a day, and its arrival depends on the payment method.
  • Conditional cancellation: if the stated conditions are met, customer support cancels for you. The result is the same for cashback.
  • You skip the activity: an activity without cancellation gets no refund, but a trip you do not take is not confirmed either.
  • A different session: a promo code from another site or a detour through a voucher portal after our shop page can replace the tracking.
  • GetYourGuide or an ad blocker: neither runs through our button, so no pending entry appears.

Klook says a refund starts within a day of approval. Cards and Apple or Google Pay then take 7 to 14 business days, online banking 7 to 10 and a bank transfer 14 to 30. None of that changes the cashback rule: refunded money does not count.

What the rate is based on

On the shop page, Klook is described as a site for tours, attraction tickets and getting around once you arrive, and the cashback is credited after confirmation. A number is missing here on purpose, since the shop page shows what applies on the day. KlookCash and promo codes lower the amount you pay at checkout, and how that sits with cashback is set by the terms on that page.

KlookCash can be used once you hold at least 10 of it, but not on passes, e-gift cards, travel insurance and selected events. Klook also says it adds no handling fee of its own; a bank may still charge a foreign transaction fee, and PayPal can add costs. Those are not part of the booking value.

Klook or GetYourGuide: the differences

  • Klook sells activities and, according to its help centre, also trains, hotels, flights, buses, eSIM, car rentals and events, so a whole trip can sit in one account.
  • GetYourGuide acts as agent for the supplier. Its terms offer reserve now, pay later on selected activities, with the price debited three days before the start, and a price match if you can prove a cheaper identical activity.
  • If the supplier cancels for weather or similar events, GetYourGuide refunds the paid price. Refunds can go to your payment method or become a GetYourGuide refund gift card.
  • Our pick for cashback is Klook. GetYourGuide is a solid place to browse and compare, and its pay-later option is a real strength for open plans.

Frequently asked questions

Does GetYourGuide give cashback?
We do not list GetYourGuide, so nothing booked there is credited by us. Klook is the one with a page at daily cashback.
Is Klook cheaper than GetYourGuide?
Fares shift with date, operator and ticket type. Put the checkout totals of one identical activity side by side; no fixed winner exists.
When is Klook cashback confirmed?
Your order shows as pending. Confirmation often comes only after the activity date, and then the cashback is credited.
Do I get cashback if I cancel on Klook?
A cancelled order is refunded, and refunded money earns no cashback. Check which of the three cancellation labels your activity has before you pay.
Can I use KlookCash with cashback?
KlookCash lowers the price at checkout, from at least 10 KlookCash. How it sits with cashback is set in the terms on the Klook shop page.
Why is the Klook page on the US site?
Klook is listed on our US site, in English. The link in this guide leads there for every market.
Does GetYourGuide pay later?
On selected activities it offers reserve now, pay later with a credit card that is valid until the activity date. That booking carries no cashback from us.
