Hosting at PlanetHoster France: countries, 60-day guarantee, payment and cashback
PlanetHoster is a web hosting company that runs its own servers in Paris, Lausanne and Montréal. The French shop at planethoster.fr is one of several regional sites. For a hosting service, shipping does not exist. What counts is where you can use it, what the contract term and renewal look like, how the money-back guarantee works and how you pay.
Country sites, languages and currencies
The site lets you choose a country: France, Belgium, Canada and Switzerland. The currency menu offers euro, US dollar, Canadian dollar, British pound and Swiss franc. According to the terms, all prices include taxes and are payable in the currency you choose. The company itself is PlanetHoster Inc. in Laval, Québec, and the French pages are in French, so check that you are comfortable with the language of the control panel and support.
Where your data lives
For each project you pick the data centre: Paris, Lausanne or Montréal. The shop explains that a site aimed at France can stay in Europe under GDPR, while a business selling in Québec can sit in Montréal.
Plans and what is included
The Standard web project is the shared plan, Plus is the stronger shared plan, Ultra is semi-dedicated, and HybridCloud is a dedicated server. A domain name is free in the first year in 15 extensions, among them .fr, .eu, .be, .ch and .ca. SSL certificates, unlimited email addresses and 45 days of backups are part of every plan, and the team migrates your existing site for free. Each plan shows a promo price and the renewal price side by side. The renewal for the Standard plan after the 24-month promo is stated at €19.99 per month, so look at both numbers before you order.

60-day money-back guarantee and cancelling
All plans carry a 60-day satisfied-or-refunded guarantee, except domain names. You send a written notice, and PlanetHoster refunds at the latest 14 days after it learns of your decision. For a free domain, part of the fees is kept to cover the registration. After 7 days of service the shop may refund a domain only as PlanetHoster credit, and after 30 days a pro-rata credit is possible for 180 days. Sums paid for domain names, licences and SSL certificates are not refundable.
You can end the contract at any time through your client account, not by ticket and not by registered email. Services renew automatically for an indefinite period unless you switch that off in the Service tab of your member area, at the latest 30 days before the end of the term. Credit on your PlanetHoster account is not refundable.
Payment
Accepted payment methods are bank transfer, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal and Skrill. Transaction fees are at your expense. With a card, the system takes the amount of a new invoice automatically 15 days before renewal and emails you if it fails. If payment stays missing, the content of the hosting is deleted 15 days after the due date.
Support
The shop promises human support 24/7 by ticket, chat or phone, with staff that speak French, and an average first response under 15 minutes.
Cashback on PlanetHoster orders
Open the PlanetHoster page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to $63.89) is shown. Press the button, order as usual and pay. The cashback appears in your free account as open and turns confirmed once PlanetHoster has reported the order. If you use the 60-day guarantee and get a refund, the cashback for that order is deducted.
Practical tips
- Decide on the data centre before you order, because it affects speed for your visitors and data protection.
- Note the renewal price and switch off auto-renewal early if you only want the first term.
- Finish the order in one visit and keep other cashback or voucher sites closed, otherwise the click can be replaced.
