Booking airport parking with APH: flexible cancellation, refunds, changes and cashback
APH is a UK company that sells airport parking, airport hotels with parking and airport lounges. Instead of delivery times, the questions that count here are how a booking can be changed or cancelled, what happens if you come back late or early and which airports are covered. This guide goes through what the APH site says.
What APH offers
The company has helped UK travellers since 1980 and describes itself as a family-owned independent business. On its site you can compare over 150 airport car parks, hotels and lounges across the UK. The booking form lists airports including Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Gatwick, Glasgow, Heathrow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton, Port Southend and Stansted. Besides parking, the site offers travel insurance, currency cards and airport transfers. As the service covers UK airports, it is aimed at people who start or end a trip in the UK.
Flexible, non-flex and super saver bookings
The refund rules depend on the type of booking. With a flexible booking you can cancel and receive a full refund if you do so at least 24 hours before the parking period begins. The parking period starts at 12.01am on the day before your scheduled arrival. If your parking starts on 3 July, you have to cancel by 11.59pm on 1 July. You can also move the booking to another date instead of cancelling.
Non-flexible, super saver and advance purchase bookings cannot be amended or cancelled, because they are sold at a discounted rate. APH points out that a flexible booking is often only a few pounds more, which may be worth it if your plans can change.
Coming back early or late
APH does not refund unused parking days if you return early. It can send a letter to support a claim with your travel insurer. If your flight is delayed, additional fees for a late return are paid directly to the car park, and the rates vary. A parking booking cannot be extended with APH once it has started, so call the car park for extra time.
Changing your car or your details
If you drive a different car than the one you booked, update the car details under Manage My Booking with your booking reference and e-mail address. You do not need a new booking. If you only notice at the car park, allow extra time, tell the receptionist or use the intercom at the barrier, and for meet and greet call your provider with the number from your confirmation. A myAPH account shows past, upcoming and cancelled bookings.
| At a glance | APH |

| Coverage | UK airports, hotels and lounges |

Cashback with daily cashback
Open the APH page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 1%) is shown. Press the shop button, then search and book as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed once APH has reported the booking. A cancelled booking is deducted from the amount.
Practical tips
- Choose the flexible rate if your travel dates are not fixed.
- Book directly on the APH site, not through a travel agent, if you want to change the booking yourself. Bookings made through an agent can only be changed by that agent.
- Keep other cashback sites closed while you book, since a later click can replace the first one.
