Airport parking with Compare Parking Prices: cancellation, changes and cashback
Compare Parking Prices is a UK website that compares airport parking and books it for you. It does not run car parks itself: it acts as a booking agent for independent parking companies and shows their live rates side by side. That matters for the questions below, because who you deal with when something changes depends on that split. This guide covers the parking types, the airports, cancellation, changes and what happens on the day.
What you can book and where
The site compares three kinds of parking. Meet & Greet is the fastest: a driver meets you at the terminal drop-off point, takes your keys and parks the car, and brings it back to the same spot when you return. Park and Ride puts the car in a secured car park and a shuttle takes you to the terminal. Onsite parking is within the airport boundary, with a free shuttle for long stays and a walk for short ones. Airports named on the site include Heathrow, Manchester, Luton, Stansted, Birmingham and Gatwick, plus Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool and Southampton.
When you search you enter drop-off and collection dates and times, not your flight times. The shop suggests leaving 2 to 3 hours of leeway for traffic and check-in. Mystery or saver deals offer a lower rate, but the car park company is only revealed after purchase.
Cancellation and changes
Cancellations go through the site's customer services, not through the car park company. The FAQ says a booking can be cancelled up to 48 hours before the drop-off date, except on non-flexible offers, and that every cancellation carries an administration fee of £15 unless you added cancellation cover when booking. That cover waives the penalty for cancellations up to 48 hours before drop-off. The home page describes the cover as free on eligible bookings and asks you to call at least 24 hours before departure, with refunds taking 3 to 10 working days to show. Because the two pages differ, check the exact terms on your booking confirmation. A non-flexible purchase cannot be changed or cancelled, and the booking fee is not refundable.
You can change flight information, vehicle details and personal details yourself under My Booking, and changing the vehicle costs nothing. Date and time changes go through customer services.

On the day
For Meet & Greet the keys stay with the car park company. For Park and Ride, check the service info or your booking confirmation. Call the company on the number in your booking email before you arrive, and as early as you can if you run early or late. If you stay longer, you pay the car park a daily rate on your return, and if you shorten the stay, unused days are not refunded. A delayed flight that adds a day can be charged by the car park. Ask whether the airport levy or exit fee is included in the quoted price. Valuables left in the vehicle are at your own risk.
If your car is damaged, take photos and report it to the car park company before you leave the terminal and sign the collection paperwork. Complaints go by email to the car park company with a copy to the site, and a reply should come within 7 working days. The site states that it is a booking agent only and cannot be held responsible for damage or the service itself.
Payment and contact
The site accepts all major cards. You can call 03333 447 877 or write to [email protected], including for a lost confirmation email. A free SMS confirmation comes along with the email.
Using cashback
Open the Compare Parking Prices page at daily cashback, where the current rate (3%) and the offers are listed with the date we last checked them. Press the shop button, search and book as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed after the booking has been reported. A cancelled booking reduces the amount again.
Before you book
- Read the cancellation terms on your confirmation, since the site and the FAQ page give different figures.
- Decide on cancellation cover while booking, as it is bought at the time of booking.
- Check on the service page whether the airport levy is part of the price.
- Finish the booking in one visit and pause your ad blocker, as either can break the click.
- Keep other cashback and voucher tabs closed while you book, since a later click can replace the first one.
