Tiqets vs GetYourGuide: Which Fits You, and Where Is Cashback Paid?

Tiqets vs GetYourGuide: for tickets with cashback, choose Tiqets, the one of the two that is listed at daily cashback. GetYourGuide is not one of our shops, so its bookings pay nothing from us. Ticket prices move with date and time slot, so this guide covers the route to cashback and the rules around cancelling. Status October 2026.

Booking tickets: the steps

1. Open the Tiqets shop page. Look at the cashback line and at the list of voucher codes and deals.
2. Switch off the ad blocker, close other voucher or comparison tabs and press the booking button. Tiqets opens in a new window.
3. Choose attraction, date and time slot. Some tickets are valid only for one chosen day and hour, so check this before paying.
4. Decide on the free cancellation option, which Tiqets offers per ticket. Add a code from the shop page list if one fits your order.
5. Pay. The order appears in your free account as pending.
6. Visit the attraction. After the trip, Tiqets confirms the order and the cashback becomes payable.

The price on Tiqets does not change because of us. If you want to browse first, do it in a different window and open the shop page again right before you pay.

Codes and deals on the shop page each carry an end date. A deal that works without a code needs only the button, while a code is entered at checkout. Look at the end date and any minimum order value before you plan your day around an offer, and keep the page open in the same window while you pay.

When the cashback lapses

• Cancelled order: a cancelled order is not a completed trip. With the free cancellation option you can cancel until 23:59 the evening before your visit, in the Tiqets app or through the manage booking button in your email.
• No cancellation option chosen: then it depends on the partner behind the ticket, and Tiqets customer service tells you what is possible.
• Refunds: refunded money earns no cashback. After approval, iDEAL refunds typically take about two working days and cards two to seven.
• A code from another site: the sample calculation on our page applies a code from the shop list. A code pasted from a different site, reached by clicking away from our page, can replace the tracking.
• Booked on GetYourGuide: its bookings never ran through our button.
• Ad blocker on: the click may not be recorded, so no pending entry appears.

What the rate is based on

The basis is the completed booking value, minus taxes, local tourism fees, resort charges and cancelled stays. Our Tiqets page shows an example with a voucher code applied first and cashback worked out on the booking value you actually complete. The conditions of a code, such as a minimum order value, still apply.

There is also a rate line on the shop page, with the current figure and any exception for certain products. We leave the number out here because the page carries the checked one. Where Tiqets charges a booking fee at some venues, it appears as Booking fee in your order overview, so look at the final total before you pay.

Tiqets or GetYourGuide: the differences

• Tiqets sells tickets for museums, sights, theme parks, city tours and boat trips at over three thousand venues. Tickets arrive on your phone, and free cancellation is something you add per ticket.
• GetYourGuide says in its terms that it is an agent: the contract is between you and the supplier, and the price you see includes the supplier commission. Unless the activity says otherwise, cancelling more than 24 hours before the start brings a full refund, and later brings none.
• Refund form: GetYourGuide refunds to the original payment method, or if you prefer as a GetYourGuide refund gift card. Credit like that is not cashback.
• Ranking: GetYourGuide notes that popularity, ratings and commission shape the order of results. The top hit is not a price ranking.
