Shopping at Ulanzi: delivery countries, shipping costs, customs and returns
Ulanzi makes camera and video accessories such as tripods, lights, microphones and cages. The German storefront ulanzi.de is written in German but sends parcels to a list of European countries, with a warehouse in Frankfurt. If you shop from outside Germany, the shipping rules, possible customs charges and the return conditions are what to check first.
Delivery countries
The shipping page names the countries the shop currently ships to: Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Croatia. Countries such as the United Kingdom or the United States are not on that list, so a delivery there is not offered on this storefront.
Shipping costs and times
Standard shipping costs €8.00, and orders from €99 ship free. The table on the shipping page gives two times depending on stock: 3 to 4 working days when the item is in the German warehouse, and 10 to 12 working days when it has to come from the China warehouse. The shop usually processes an order within 1 to 2 working days, longer in peak periods. Carriers named are DHL, Wanb and EMS, YunExpress and Yanwen, and you get a tracking number by email once the parcel is on its way.
Other pages of the shop give different figures. The shipping policy talks about 3 to 7 days handling plus 2 to 7 days in transit, and the FAQ says 1 to 2 days within Germany, 4 to 6 days to other European countries and about 6 to 10 days if the parcel comes from China. Treat the longer figures as the safe planning value.
Customs and VAT
According to the FAQ, most orders are sent from the German warehouse and do not attract additional duties. If customs charges do arise, you contact the shop and it says it will take over the tax. Items that are not available in Germany ship from China, so ask customer service about customs before ordering such an item to a non-EU country like Switzerland or Norway.
Returns, cancellation and refunds
You can cancel an order before it has been shipped or produced and get a full refund. Once it has shipped, cancelling is no longer possible. For returns, the return policy gives 14 days after delivery. The homepage advertises a 30-day return right, so if you want to be sure, plan with the 14 days or ask the service team first. Items must be unused, in the same condition as received and in the original packaging, and you need the receipt or proof of purchase. Contact customer service before sending anything, with a photo or video of the product, and they give you the return address, which is in Czechia. Personalised items are excluded.
Return shipping is yours unless the goods were damaged or wrong because of the shop. If a parcel arrives damaged, email [email protected] within 3 working days with a photo. Refunds go back to your card or original payment method after the return has been checked. The homepage also mentions up to 4 years of warranty, and the service team can tell you which products that covers.
