Shopping at Meßmer: Germany-only delivery, returns and cashback
Meßmer is a well-known German tea brand run by Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft near Hamburg. Its online shop at messmer.de sells herbal, fruit, black and green tea, rooibos, cold tea, loose tea, gift ideas and an advent calendar. If you live outside Germany, the main point comes first: the shop delivers within Germany only.
Delivery area
The shipping terms state that delivery takes place exclusively within Germany, and the free shipping notice applies only to shipments inside Germany. To receive an order you need a German delivery address, for example with friends or at a DHL parcel station, which the FAQ says is no problem.
Shipping cost and delivery time
Orders under 25 euros of goods carry 4.49 euros shipping, and from 25 euros shipping is free. Deposit is not counted. There is no minimum order value. DHL delivers every order. The banner and the FAQ quote a standard delivery time of 2 to 5 working days, while the shipping terms say 3 to 7 working days unless the product page states otherwise, so plan for up to a week. When the parcel ships you receive an email with a tracking number and your invoice.
Payment
You can pay by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), PayPal, purchase on invoice or SEPA direct debit. No customer account is needed, you can order as a guest.
Withdrawal and returns
You have 14 days from receiving the goods to withdraw without giving a reason. Tell the shop by letter or by email to [email protected], a model form is on the page. To send items back you contact the shop through its form, receive a return label and hand the parcel in with DHL Online Retoure. According to the withdrawal notice you pay the return postage. Sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons are excluded once the seal has been broken. Refunds go back by the original payment method within 14 days of the shop receiving your withdrawal.
An order cannot be changed or cancelled once it is complete, so withdrawal is the route that remains.

Using cashback
Open the Meßmer page at daily cashback for the current rate (5.5%) and the offers with the date we last checked them. Press the shop button and order as usual. The cashback shows as open in your free account and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned item reduces the amount. A code from another site in the same visit can cost you the cashback.
Practical tips
- If your basket is just below 25 euros, a second box of tea costs less than the 4.49 euros shipping fee.
- Keep sealed packs closed until you are sure, because opened sealed goods are excluded from withdrawal.
- For gifts, plan a few extra days, as the quoted delivery time varies between 2 and 7 working days.
