Autobatterienbilliger: shipping rates for Germany and Austria, hazardous goods and the 30-day withdrawal
Autobatterienbilliger.de sells car and motorcycle batteries, AGM and gel batteries, lithium batteries and charging gear. The shop belongs to batterium GmbH in Tamm near Stuttgart. Batteries are heavy, and lead-acid ones count as dangerous goods, so shipping works differently from an ordinary parcel. We read the shipping information, the payment page and the withdrawal policy in October 2026 and summarise what applies to a buyer outside Germany.
Where the shop delivers
The shipping page gives rates for two countries: Germany and Austria. For any other country it asks you to contact customer service, so we cannot confirm delivery to other EU states, the United Kingdom or the United States. Some listings also name Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg, but we found no such statement on the shop's own pages. For Austria the page adds that shipping is only possible up to 100 kg and that rates appear once items are in the basket.
Shipping costs in Germany
Standard shipping depends on the order value and on the carrier you pick at checkout:
| Shipping by order value | DPD | DHL |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 29 EUR | 5.60 EUR shipping | 6.50 EUR shipping |
| From 29 EUR shipping | free | 2.50 EUR shipping |
Orders containing dangerous goods or pallet shipments count as special shipping. Up to 29 EUR a dangerous-goods parcel costs 9.50 EUR in shipping and a pallet 69.90 EUR. From 29 EUR both are free. The footer says free shipping to Germany applies from 29 EUR including VAT.
There is also an express handling option. The shop moves your order to the front of the warehouse queue and promises to hand it to DPD the same day. If it does not, it refunds the surcharge automatically. The option only appears when the shop can really keep the promise, and the page adds that actual delivery time depends on DPD and cannot be guaranteed.
Shipping costs to Austria
Shipping a standard parcel without dangerous goods to Austria costs 7.50 EUR per product. Shipping a pallet costs 125.00 EUR. Orders with filled lead-acid batteries count as special shipping, and the page prices the pallet case for Austria, not the parcel case. The 29 EUR free-shipping line is stated for Germany only, so do not assume it for Austria.
Delivery time
The shipping page gives no number of days. It names DPD and DHL as carriers and says the real delivery time depends on the carrier. The front page promises fast delivery, but that is a general claim, not a time per country.
Returns and payment
The shop advertises a 30-day right of withdrawal for consumers, longer than the usual 14 days. The period starts when you receive the last item. You must send the goods back within 14 days of telling the shop, and the direct return cost is yours. The refund of your payments, including the standard delivery, is due within 14 days of the notice. For payment the page lists credit card, PayPal, Klarna Sofortüberweisung, Klarna instalments, Klarna invoice with a 14-day payment period and bank transfer, where the goods ship only after the money arrives.
Using cashback
Open the Autobatterienbilliger page at daily cashback to see the current rate (up to 4%) and the offers we found, with the date of the last check. Press the shop button, order and pay as usual. The cashback shows as pending in your free account and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned item reduces the amount by its share.
Practical tips
- Pick DPD if you are near the 29 EUR line, since DPD is free from that value and DHL still costs 2.50 EUR.
- For Austria, shipping is charged per product, so a second battery in the same order adds the fee again.
- Finish in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop.
