DropChef in Ireland: delivery areas, delivery days, skipping weeks and cashback
DropChef is a meal delivery service from Dublin. It sends weekly boxes with pre-portioned ingredients and recipe cards (Recipe Kits) or meals that are cooked and only need reheating (Made Fresh). Because it is a subscription, the useful questions are different from a normal web shop: where does it deliver, on which days, and by when do you have to skip, pause or change something? This guide answers them from the DropChef help pages.
Where DropChef delivers
DropChef says it delivers to all of Ireland, including Northern Ireland, and names Dublin, Cork, Galway, Meath, Wicklow, Belfast and Donegal among the places it serves. It is an Irish service with its own address in Dublin. Outside Ireland and Northern Ireland the pages do not describe any delivery.
Delivery days and cost
Inside Dublin, DropChef delivers from Saturday to Tuesday with its own fleet. Outside Dublin the delivery days are Monday and Tuesday, handled by a courier partner. The delivery slot runs from 8am to 6pm. Dublin customers get a text message the day before, and the courier outside Dublin sends an estimated window on the day. The packaging keeps food chilled if nobody is home, and the ice gel packs hold for more than 24 hours. On bank holidays the delivery moves to the following day.

Skipping, pausing and cut-off times
The subscription renews and bills every Wednesday if the account is active. To avoid the charge for a week, skip it before 11:59 PM on Tuesday. The calendar lets you skip up to 4 weeks at a time, and for longer breaks you can put the account on hold. If you skip after payment, the money is credited to your DropChef account and applied to your next order. Changes to the plan, delivery day or address have a cut-off of 11:59 PM on Thursday before delivery, and dishes should be chosen before Friday. If you choose nothing, dishes are picked for you.
Cancelling an order and refunds
An order is cancelled by skipping the week in your account. DropChef is willing to issue a refund or credit if it has not yet made or dispatched the order and the request is not last minute. Customer support is not online at the weekend, so contact the team in advance. If you are not happy with a box, the shop says it will send another one or credit your account.
Allergies
The kitchen processes ingredients with milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soy in one area, so DropChef cannot offer allergen-free meals for severe allergies. Allergens are listed for every dish on the online menu.
Using cashback
Open the DropChef page at daily cashback, press the shop button and sign up as usual. The current rate ($6.73) is shown on that page. In your free account the cashback first appears as open and becomes confirmed once DropChef has reported the order. If an order is cancelled or refunded, the cashback for it is deducted. A code from another site can cost you the cashback, so close other voucher and cashback tabs while you sign up. Current offers are listed on the shop page and we check them daily.
