Buying a Deruiz e-bike abroad: shipping per country, returns and cashback

· 2026-10-15

Deruiz is a Mönchengladbach e-bike brand that sells its bikes and accessories through its own shop. A bike is a bulky parcel, so shipping rules matter more here than with most online purchases, and the price changes a lot depending on the country. We read the shipping page and the return policy on deruizebike.com in October 2026. Details can change, so confirm them at checkout.

How bikes are shipped

E-bikes travel by freight forwarder: Cargo International / DSV inside Germany, DSV or Raben within Europe. The cost is charged per bike. Preparing an order usually takes 1 to 2 working days, then the courier needs 3 to 5 working days inside Germany and 3 to 7 days outside. The courier agrees a delivery date with you by phone beforehand and normally delivers on working days only. The bikes arrive about two thirds pre-assembled; you fit the front wheel, front mudguard, handlebar and pedals.

Shipping cost per country

DestinationE-bike shipping
GermanyFree
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, SpainFree (not for islands and remote areas)
Finland, Greece, Sweden, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Slovenia€20 shipping per bike
Switzerland€175 shipping per bike, without VAT and customs
United Kingdom€185 shipping per bike, without VAT and customs
Norway€215 shipping per bike, without VAT and customs

For Switzerland, the UK and Norway the recipient pays VAT and customs clearance separately. If local rules allow it, you can send your VAT proof to the shop to have VAT refunded. Accessories ship with DHL and, according to the page, free to Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Norway and most EU countries on the list (Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania and Latvia are not named for accessories).

Leasing orders follow separate rules. Collecting the bike in a Deruiz brand store costs nothing, delivery inside Germany is €49 per bike, and shipping a leasing bike abroad is only possible in exceptional cases.

Returns

You can ask for a return and refund within 30 days of receiving the product by emailing customer service. The e-bike must be unused, free of dirt and dust and in its original packed state. Do not send the parcel back on your own: anything returned without approval is not refunded. After your email the shop checks it within 2 working days, sends a video showing how to repack the bike, asks for photos of the packed bike and then emails the return label. You get the full amount for the items back, usually within 3 to 5 working days after checking, to the original payment method. Cards can take longer, up to 30 days depending on the bank.

Who pays the return? You do if you simply do not like the bike or have other personal reasons. Deruiz pays everything if there is a major defect that you can show with a photo or video. There is no direct 1:1 exchange; you return the bike and place a new order. You can cancel or change an order until you get the dispatch notice.

Using cashback

Open the Deruiz page at daily cashback, where the current rate (2%) is listed. Press the shop button and order as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as pending and becomes confirmed after Deruiz has reported the order, normally once the return period is over. A returned bike reduces the cashback for it.

Practical tips

  • Keep the original carton. The return process asks you to pack the bike for transport again.
  • Check the delivery address for stairs or a narrow entrance, because the courier calls you first and brings the box to the door.
  • Finish the purchase in one visit and avoid clicking other cashback or voucher sites on the way.
