Weekend in Italy: vouchers, changes, cancellation, shipping and cashback
Weekend in Italy books timed entry tickets and guided tours for museums and sights in Italy, and it also runs a small shop with physical items. Since most customers book from abroad, the useful questions are how the voucher reaches you, what a change costs, when cancelling works and, for shop items, where it ships.
Where you can use it
The booking menu lists Florence, Milan, Naples, Rome, Sicily, Siena, Turin and Venice. You can book from any country, because the tickets are collected in Italy and never sent by post. The site is available in English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, French and German. You pay in euros, whatever country you book from.
How booking and tickets work
You choose a service, pick date, time and ticket type, press calculate, then reserve and go to the basket. About one business day after your request you receive a confirmation email with a link to print the voucher. Requests made on Friday or at the weekend are confirmed on Monday afternoon. Tickets are never mailed. You show the voucher, printed or as a PDF on your phone, at the museum reservation desk no later than 15 minutes before the confirmed time and skip the ticket queue. The confirmed time can differ from the one you asked for, because the museum confirms the closest free slot on the same day if yours is sold out.
Changes and cancellations
Changing a confirmed visit depends on availability and costs a new service fee per ticket that the museums charge: €7.75 for the Uffizi Gallery, €7.00 for the Accademia Gallery and €6.00 for the other museums. Some reservations, for example the Last Supper and the Brera Art Gallery, cannot be changed or cancelled once confirmed. In general, confirmed museum reservations can be cancelled and the cost of the unused ticket is refunded, without the booking fees. Excursions and some museums have their own rules, so read the cancellation policy of each service before you book.
Shop items: shipping and duties
For physical products the shop usually dispatches within 5 business days unless the item is out of stock. The system offers the shipping options available for your destination. Within the EU the delivery times are 3 business days for International Priority Mail, 6 days for MiniboxTrack and 3 to 4 days for BRT Express and ExportBox SDA. For the rest of the world the shop names 4 to 9 business days for Priority Mail to over 200 countries, and 10 to 20 business days for MiniboxTrack to Canada, Japan, Iceland, Israel, the USA and Switzerland. For shipping outside the European Union, the recipient pays any fees set by the destination country. Prices include Italian taxes only.
For shop items the Satisfaction Guarantee applies: tell the shop within seven days, send the goods back insured, and you pay only the return shipping and insurance. After receiving them, the shop replaces or refunds the item within 7 days. Reservations are not covered by this guarantee, and custom-made items cannot be returned.

Payment
The shop accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and JCB. You are charged in euros, and your bank calculates the amount in your own currency. Card details go straight to the bank's secure payment page and are not stored by Weekend in Italy.
Using cashback
Open the Weekend in Italy page at daily cashback, where the current rate (5%) and the offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button, then book and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Weekend in Italy has reported the booking. If a booking is cancelled or refunded, the cashback for it is deducted.
Practical tips
- Add your hotel address if you travel before the confirmation arrives, so the voucher can be sent there.
- Look for the voucher page on the website with your order number and email address when the mail does not show up, and check your spam folder.
- Finish the booking in one visit and pause your ad blocker, since either can break the click.
